#[SOLVED] decrease home partition and increase root partition
17 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
fdisk will cause major breakage. it only operates on partitions and pays no attention to the filesystems inside
you need to use something like gparted which resizes the file systems and partitions
Okay i have gparted but I don't know how to move the root after the home partition so i can resize it
Wait i think I know now
you should back up any important data before doing this
if your power flashes or pc crashes or the operation gets cancelled before it's done then your data will be gone
Okay i did the partitioning and booted into arch, is there a way to check that everything is fine?
you being able to boot is a good indication
you you can check fdisk -l
or lsblk -f
Ty it works
