#Cannot change screen resolution xrandr

I get the same thing
"xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
xrandr: Configure crtc 0 failed"
The monitor is recognized as "default"
I feel like it's a driver issue, my Kernel is at 6.1, do I need to upgrade?
Doing "xrandr -s 2560x1440" just replies with "Failed to change the screen configuration" nothing else
