as in subject line, I'm installing two mods onto a game w/ wine, one of them requires a java runtime environment and the author gives an error when run w/ default settings when I doubleclick on it. Can I just run the windows installer in wine? I'm at a loss wrt running it as a normal user. I attempted running the correct installer in the command line and got this

002c:err:wineboot:process_run_key Error running cmd L"C:\\windows\\system32\\winemenubuilder.exe -a -r" (126).

# summer path .aw java

I have java installed from the arch repos, [quinn@quinndeavorOS ~]$ java -version openjdk version "20.0.2" 2023-07-18 OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 20.0.2+9) OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.0.2+9, mixed mode, sharing) however it doesn't seem accessable to my wine prefix. Would Bottles solve the issues of everything being run as administrator? I've used it before so I'm familiar but never had to use that functionality

Why do you need wine for JAVA?

#

java is meant to be cross platform, you only need the JVM

#

These two things just don't fit together
