So my problem is when trying to install the xone kernel drivers (https://github.com/medusalix/xone) whenever I try to make the package, then I get an error message about DKMS not finding the folder where the kernel resides in, I'd need help for trying to let DKMS find the correct folder. Image above shows what error I get when trying to install the kernel drivers.

hi, it says that it needs a specific kernel header, does installing linux-headers-6.4.12-arch1-1 and then rerunning make work?

silk harness
#

either works

#

will try

#

will try yay

#

nope doesn't exist

sorry it's hard to read w/o glasses

#

interesting, because whenever I try to install it, it just says target not found

#

maybe I'll try installing "linux-headers"? maybe that'll find it

silk harness
#

that should be it

fair breach
#

linux-headers worked, will try installing again when it's installed

#

will keep the topic open until I'm sure it worked

#

so, I installed the main xone kernel drievers, but now I want to install the firmware shown on the github page, but the command didn't work

#

sudo xone-get-firmware.sh this is the command in the instruction I feel like something is missing

silk harness
#

make sure you have all the dependencies

fair breach
#

actually I might not need that

#

since I don't have a wireless xone controller

#

but yeah, still thanks for your help

silk harness
#

did it work? you're welcome

fair breach
#

yeah the main xone drivers did install

[SOLVED] DKMS can't find the kernel install location

#

also, can you remove the folders from git clone after the application or driver is installed?

#

didn't find anything on google, or I just didn't have the correct search term, since I'm not the best at English

i'd keep it in a directory, not sure if it builds outside and in case you need to uninstall
