#NetworkManager failing connection for School Wifi

Ok so I have some experience with this funkiness. What instructions does your school provide for joining the network?
Also use nm-connection-editor. It’s a bit more friendly since it’s a GUI GTK program
lol none, they have no documentation for it. however im able to connect on my phone with WPA/WPA2 Enterprise, CA CERT = None, and identity+password
also i dont have it installed and i dont have a usb cable to tether so i cant get a connection in Linux until i either go home or get it working. i for the most part understand how to use nmcli edit tho
Nothing at all? That’s really odd.
I gtg anyway. Classes.
alright
So how exactly does your school’s onboarding system work
I finished todays work for this class so I have some time
onboarding?
Just the process to get a BYOD device on the network and/or registered
they're actually pretty strict on not allowing people to use their phones to new law, however network was configured like this before that went into place. there never really was a specific way
before it was just connect to the network and goto a gateway to login
they changed that since, now its using WPA/WPA2 with identity+ password
note im able to connect fine with windows by just using identity+password and im in instantly
tried seeing the tech guy at my school, hes out today gonna try tomorrow i guess
Ok
... solved
