what does not fit

#

oh

#

thats normal. no, really, CRTs just do that

#

most chonk TVs, including all four of those i owned personally, do this

#

this is expected behavior

#

the software viewport is bigger than the actual viewable area

#

you ever wondered why console games have these huge chunks of nothing on their borders when you record them

#

yeah, this is why

#

so you're using nvidia?

#

nvidia has a tool for customizing stuff in your xorg sessions (tho it is xorg-only), it comes with nvidia* packages

#

.aw nvidia

pick the driver version that suits your gpu, and a tool is installed along that

#

unless its your tv that makes it funny

#

like happened to this dude

#

some phones come with an infrared blaster that can be used as one

#

does it have a small hole covered with glass on the top end

#

i guess you can also do this and screw around with xrandr (i assume you use xorg because wayland on nvidia is still kinda eh)

I would try to figure out a way to change your TV settings first

Do you not have buttons on the side to access the menu?
