Does your hardware use RAID?

#

If so, you can switch it to use AHCI mode instead in the firmware setup menu.

#

redundant array of inexpensive disks

#

Can you upload your dmesg?

#
dmesg | curl -F 'f:1=<-' ix.io
  • internet required
#

Please post the results when we suggest you run a command instead of a description.

#

Because we don't have access to your hardware, your screen, your eyes or your brain.

You do indeed have the RAID mode enabled.

#

You must disable it if you want to install Linux on this drive, as there is no kernel support for this type of Intel hardware RAID.

#

a RAID uses multiple hard drives as if they were a single drive

#

Have you turned off RAID mode?

#
