#Grub not creating boot entry unless given removable flag

Exactly what the title says. when I do grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot --bootloader-id=GRUB and then after that grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg I do not get a boot entry in my boot menu that I press F11 to get to on startup.

However it does work if I give it the --removable flag. Why is that?
