Grub needs forcepae to start?
Hmmm
Have you tried using a live USB
From a very old Linux version
To then edit grub.cfg to add forcepae
Okay try booting, then editing grub.cfg
I know it says DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE
but ignore that. Changes will get overwritten after a kernel update but once you're booted you can add forcepae to /etc/default/grub
Yep there's an option. Does it boot?
I'm sure you don't even need Mint
Select boot from local drive and press tab
Then in the editor add forcepae
To the kernel parameters... If it even directly boots the kernel
If it just reboots to local grub it's useless
