So I installed arch on my desktop and with it grub but when I installed grub I saw that it has support for secureboot and decided what the heck why not set it up. I did the command to enable it and all that but when I boot it says I need a key which I get that's how that works but how do I generate and set said key?

Bruh how do you think I got this far?

#

I did read it

#

I'm still in the before booting stage and don't know what to do as it tells you to boot to firmware setup which I'm guessing is the bios? Idk but when I just boot normally I get a blue screen asking to select a key

#

From what I understand when I read it the "before booting" part says to basically boot to bios and enable secureboot which I have done

#

The "after booting" part talks about checking the status of secureboot with systemd which isn't possible on my end since I'm unable to boot into my OS

#

Pretty sure I did as the only thing I saw on grubs wiki is to run

#

And then enable secureboot in bios

#

Which is what I did

#

Now it's asking for a key to add to the MOK database

Yeah I stopped trying and disabled it again but I'm having trouble booting now since when I boot I am just met with the grub shell

my only experience with secure boot is importing the ventoy keys to get my surface to work
