Hello, I'm trying to do a silent boot as described in the wiki. So far, I've added quiet loglevel=0 on my kernel options and also modified the kernel.printk setting mentioned in point # 3 of the wiki but these messages don't seem to disappear. Anybody has any clues?

I'm actually trying to test plymouth splash screen. And the splash screen works but disappears after some time and then these messages show up and after that it takes me to SDDM login screen. I'd like these messages to not show up and go directly from splash to login screen.

And I'm using systemd-boot btw

Some one else said that to me too, I don't think there's anything like remaking the config file? The only thing remotely related to that I found is remaking the initrd images using mkinitcpio -p linux command.

I think you are referring to the grub-mkconfig command. There's no analogous to that in systemd-boot afaik. You just modify the loader.conf and it automatically picks up the changes.

from what I understood bootctl install installs the bootloader the very first time. THe update command is used to update the files to a newer version not update the configs or all that

yeap. If i remove the loglevel and quiet I see all the messages

It wouldn't be loading the initrd image in the first place though xD

I tried doing the same thing on a previous snapshot of my VM and just the options quiet loglevel=3 worked. Don't know what's up with this state so I guess it's solved for now. Thanks for taking your time to help me bro @kindred turret
