Even though some applications work if you provide -E flag, some don't and instead use config from root user folder, which is either empty or has an autogenerated config

It might be because the application internally just calls "sudo" without -E

wait you mean when you do sudo someapp,
it doesnt use your configs ?

Yes it doesn't

I mean, I could obviously just symlink the entire root directory to my user profile, but that solution sounds meh
