I am getting Failed to mount /boot and Failed to mount /windows10 error when I boot up my desktop

#

I did a massive system update, since then it's happening

raw musk
#

Did anything interrupt the update?

#

And do you get access to the emergency shell

Try to manually mount it?

Cool. I think the arch installation guide has a brief how to use genfstab. If that's necessary.

lost magnet
#

Yes

grave arrow
#

Btw unmount sda1 from /mnt or genfstab will detect that too

lost magnet
#

Yes

grave arrow
#

did it work?

lost magnet
#

@grave arrow so i will iterate over the steps --

  1. cd /mnt
  2. mkdir linux and mkdir boot
  3. mount /dev/sda1 (boot) /boot
  4. mount /dev/sda5 linux/
  5. mkdir windows10
  6. mount /dev/sda3 windows10 (error here saying windows is hibernated)
  7. genfstab -U /mnt >> /mnt/linux/etc/fstab
#

Is this correct

#

Wait what the heck

#

It just works

#

Lmao what

#

I didn't even do anything

#

I didn't even generate the fstab

#

I was trying to shutdown windows 10 properly so i booted in win 10 and shutdown
