As stated above, my router keeps thinking I'm a new device every ~10m. At this time my router says I have 300 devices all with the same name and IP address. This is all the information I know.

First off what network card is it

#

Kinda important for a network issue

#

What does lspci report for it?

silver cave
#

maybe you disconnect and reconnect a lot or something. still shoudn't think 300 devices are connected.

#

does journalctl -xe show anything relevant?

@jade orbit

  1. Not sure. I'm pretty sure it's a Realtek
  2. I can't find much at all.

@silver cave

  1. NetworkManager-dispatcher.service is deactivated?

ummm i had this issue before and it was caused by the fact that i connected to the wifi on kde and then tried using nmcli. So what i did was delete the connection nmcli connection delete CONNECTION_NAME and then did nmtui and then activated my wifi from there

nmtui and nmcli are the same thing they both use network manager.

#

I don't know what the wifi on kde uses(most probably it uses Network Manager)
If not, Maybe two different network providers are fighting over the connection.(doubtful)

ls -R /etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d

and this?
