looks like it logs you out
what DE/WM you're using?
Hyprland
Sorry for the late response btw, didn't get a noti
Any idea why though?
uh no
if it was a DE like plasma, you could do that with GUI lol
otherwise I don't know
I'm still lazy to configure it properly so I configured it to suspend on super+shift+delete lol
Do what with GUI?
configure the power button
Uhh, I use a power menu
find what command your power menu runs then, it should probably be in your bar config
It's just systemctl suspend
does the issue also happen if you run it in terminal by yourself?(sounds stupid but i ran into weird behavior like that before)
Yes
do you have swap properly configured?
pretty sure it is, but it's not that much slower than suspend to ram so it might be just worth switching to that over troubleshooting more
i know some systems have a problem with different sleep types especially on newer machines so that might be the case here as well
that also gets worse if youre on a laptop
I am dual booting, so hibernation is uhh, yeah
oof
can you please put the laptop/pc specs here and also clarify if it's a pc or a laptop
ill take a look at it later but i have a few ideas
Lenovo Ideapad 5 82FG00KEHM
is your bios up to date?
Think so
Like, it works on Windows
Just not on Linux since I switched to Hyprland
windows recently change to a different sleep state default
so that doesn't mean much
It has always worked on Windows*
