#Unable to figure out how to build from a git repo
86 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
what are you trying to install?
Spine
An in development PS4 emulator
.aw aur helpder
No results found
.aw aur helper
However I am in bed right now so I can't attend
you need an aur helper
What's that
there's no need to manually build stuff
read what the bot linked
in a nutshell, you need to install paru or yay
Unfortunately I am very bad with reading and understanding things like that
I have yay
Spine isn't on aur
then send the github sauce
I can't do "yay spine" to get this
Hence why I'm attempting to build
It's in the screenshot
I'm in bed so uh
Kinda can't go and get it rn
It's just spine PS4 emu or something idk
send the github link
Bwuh
it looks that it is outdated and there's only a zip and the source code, no instructions on that git repo
Damn
there's this flatpak but its a demo
Don't like flatpak
flatpak are ez to install and manage
I use flatpak and life is good

btw, info related
https://www.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/usz09e/devofspine_has_released_spine_ps4_preview_version/
I'll check it tomorrow then
the project is on an alpha state so don't expect a linux version sooner
you may try to run the windoz version if avaliable
It's mostly for Linux
yet it's on an alpha state so no executables so far but only the source with no way to build it
you may ask directly the dev about how to build it
all that repo has is a license and readme
wow thanks I wish I had seen that
Yes
Now go to it
And try to download it and use it
i haven't a clue what spine is
if i don't know what it does
and i cant find any docs
It's a PS4 emulator
then i dont exactly have a chance of even trying to run it, now do i
unfortunately i dont have glibc which seems to be required to run it
Well, I'll follow this and see if I can get it to work?
yea or just click the link i sent you & unzip the file
Yea, there's no executable of any sort so idk what to do with that
install unzip or p7zip, thats it
there is
Wat
./spine
ive already downloaded like 4 files from github at this point and im not willing to do it again
spine
just like
cd to wherever you extracted it
and run ./spine
So what
Extract the zip
And just type "spine"?
Unzip
Cd to the folder
And type spine?
If it's that fucking simple I'm going to awa
...
Too few arguments for command note!
Usage: .note <name>
i just told you
no, follow what i just said
Be nice plz
I'm not good at this
