can you send your sources file?
also, do you have internet?
How can I check my internet connection I do have an ethernet cable plugged in
Ill send my sources file 1 sec
debian install is a bit irritating because unless you install a desktop it doesn't bundle internet applications for some reason btw, so that may be causing issues
you can try pinging a website
yeah, ping 8.8.8.8 or something
okay
"temporary failure in name resolution" means not working
It says network is unreachable when trying to ping 8.8.8.8 so probably ethernet isnt working
the cable
that also means not working lol
obv
it's possible debian is just being stupid and not installing required packages for internet
I used the gui installer and it said i needed to insert a usb stick with the ethernet drivers or something like that
I used a different cable and same thing is happening
I think im just gonna install linux mint instead
You didn't have any source for the main repo, but using Mint is fine
... solved
