you dont even necessarily need to remove the previous de to use a new one but you have nothing to worry about as long as you're installing and removing everything through pacman

its like switching browsers but a little bit more complicated

its just an alternative program

most things arent super dependent on it

also it kinda depends on the de

sometimes its as easy as getting the new one and editing one file

to change the name of the program
