I want to remove Discover entirely from my system running Plasma and only install new things via terminal. Is there a safe method for doing so? I’ve been googling and apparently it breaks the meta package in KDE and I don’t want to ruin my clean install (still new to arch and linux). If anyone has advice or guidance I’d appreciate it.

Btw this thread in particular explains a lot from a year ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/lavors/getting_rid_of_discover_keeps_popping_back_up/

I essentially want to use kde as a base while exploring other more configurable environments like xmonad and awesomeWM since I’ll need time to learn and experiment before I’m comfortable in them.

Thanks for reading. 🙏

Did you move to a window manager? Or still use kde?
