#[solved] networkmanager not working, iwctl does

I'm on arch, kde plasma. When installing I installed dhcpcd, iwd and later networkmanager. Then also plasma-nm. Initially I used iwctl to connect to WiFi, which worked. However I want to start using a gui instead so I installed networkmanager at some point and the plasma-nm as well as the applet so I can use those as guis.

In the beginning I was still connected through iwctl so I thought that was the problem. I forgot all connections and then tried again but it gave an error of "no secrets provided". I turned off iwctl and still the same thing. I should mention kwallet is being weird, don't understand the program but I believe I needed it for Spotify at some point.

In any case I also removed dhcpcd (let me know if that was unnecessary). But still the same thing. So I'm relatively out of options and was wondering whether someone knows what to do

[solved] networkmanager not working, iwctl does

#

In the configuration of the WiFi I stored the password as encrypted, storing it unencrypted solved the issue and allowed me to connect

#

systemctl status NetworkManager

#

it should be active
