I installed the nvidia package for my graphics card and then ran nvidia-xconfig to generate my xorg config but when I rebooted it's stuck at a blank screen with a cursor (not blinking) on the top left. Pressing Ctrl+alt+F2 doesn't bring up any console either.

I would try starting X with no xorg.conf, and then using the nvidia-settings gui to change your xorg.conf

Is there any kernel param to do so? Because I can't access the cli at all
