Frostpunk 2 mods not working properly

Hey so I’m having an issue with frost punk 2 mods. I enable a mod in the game modding library (steam). Then I click accept. Try to start a new game and the tale added by the mod isn’t there. Check the mod library again, it says it’s enabled, switch to subscribed mods and it says it’s disabled. I can only get mods to work with pure luck.

Yes the mod I’m using is up to date with the most recent version of the game btw

I can also confirm that it’s not an issue with this particular mod
