speaking reasonably it would be either middle of december to get a big rush on holiday season sales to up their bottom line for the end of this fiscal year (unlikely imo) or middle of january to start off the new fiscal year so it can count all sales across the whole year and look really good for the investors (likely imo)

This code was just for fun. I don't think it's anything to do with FP2.

That's not a dig at you. It's quite nice to do that. But I know that 11bit wouldn't say anything until they are confident that they can release the game soon after that announcement. This is why after GamesCon, the only realistic chance they'll say something on any more info came and went. I lost all hope of any new info on the game for the rest of the year.

It's a marketing strategy really. Codes are fun. But unless you give people a reason to invest and decipher I don't think the masses will try and even bother. No dig at you just saying this is how this sort of thing works in the game industry.
