What does the tileset currently look like ๐ค
The main reason why the semisolids are made that way is because I got inspired by the grassland tileset from Hard Super Dario Bros./NSMB Community Remix, and also because I initially tried to make a brighter version of the ground for the semisolids but I didn't like how it looked, so I tried messing around with colors until I got that result and decided to use the darker variant for semisolids as I got used to how the brighter part looked and didn't want to use the darker variant as the main tileset
Semisolids don't always have to mandatorily be brighter than the main ground, one can break that tradition
Also, when you play the levels, you'll find many indicators that show you can walk through those semisolids, like ground platforms on top of other ones, coins in front of the ground, etc.
this is what i've been saying but it kept coming down to arguing about it being visible at first glance

Yeah obviously, that's why i'm making complete different looking ones since it's more unique, if i were making just reshaded tiles i would've done semisolids lighter since it's more associated with nsmb wii/other games and can lead to some confusion in other cases

it's just the outlines that don't really match the original ones, but they fit with the rest of the bottom screen hud stuff (eg. mario's head has outlines) so i think it still works
the only complaint i have is that it feels more of an octogon than being fully circular
It's meant to be like that, all the hud graphics in this hack are meant to have a "cartoon-ish" artstyle
and also it feels like the ztar coin "slots" seem to have less depth than the vanilla game's ones, which i don't really like

i think the shading on the left of the P is sorta blending with the highlight n the shading on the right is makes the bowl look a bit pointy

think of what the p switch does and what the original orange switch does, u can see that in the p switch is lighter cyan (because itโs a light color in the spectrum) and the darker colors are more blue since itโs a darker color than cyan

some apps (atleast aseprite lol) have a tool to replace a specified color with another specified color, and you can change the โtoleranceโ to determine if any similar looking colors should be affected aswelll

I don't think GIMP has such a thing, but if it does, it would be useful as hell because recoloring crap manually is really painful 
bucket fill does work too actually, in aseprite it has a โcontinuousโ option, which makes it so that if itโs ticked on, then it only affects adjacent pixels, and if itโs ticked off, then it just checks for all pixels
though just normal bucket fill Can work fine
The bucket fill in GIMP is kinda ass because it will recolor multiple pixels even if their colors are slightly different

its a somebody set up the 3d tiles wrong problem
i think it's just not properly tiled. there are a few extra pixels on the tileset itself but since they're outside of the full tiles, they don't cover mario correctly
manually modifying the graphics (both tileset and polygon_unit stuff) to align the wall to the full 16x16 tiles could fix the issue
If that's the case, I think I'll just switch back to DM's version of the SubNohara and add the snowy variants and the NSMBWii flagpole tops
But I'm way too lazy to do that
Editing the SubNohara is almost as painful as editing the jyotyu
what's the difference between DM's SubNohara and the version you're using?
mine accounts for the doorway 3d tiles but lacks the snow styles (since its not extended) and the flagpole doesnt work right with mega mario

mentioned, what I did for the blue pipes was replace the pipe joint objects and "crossover" pipe tiles with blue pipe graphics, and I made a new pipe joint by including it in the tileset itself
With normal actors it wouldn't be a issue, but with tileset it would since its a lot of tiles and such
i think theres another 2d layer that goes over models that is unused in stages but you can see that it gets used in the title screen cutscene

For 5-Airship I would like to make a snowy airship level, but I dunno how I could make a snowy version of my airship tileset

A level ideally shouldn't have more than 3 or 4 gimmicks, otherwise it would be really hard to make a balanced use of all of them without spamming them all over the level or making the level too long (even longer than my usual levels), not to mention that it increases the probabilities of running out of gimmicks for other levels
Also, some of the gimmicks you're suggesting do not fit in an airship level at all, what's the context for a squiggler or a snowy branch to be in an airship?

I even remember I tried reducing the size of the SWAR and the song still wasn't playing

Yeah I don't know exactly which color use for the edges, when I color shifted the airship tiles they looked orange, so I recolored them using the same colors as the original airship tiles

I think the issue is just that the bosses go down to quickly
Ground pound dealing double damage was cool, but I'm also glad they got rid of it with later games
The fact that fire balls are able to deplete the bosses' health without then ever reacting to it until they die is also kinda problematic
Tho the fact that you can kill Jr. by just standing still and spamming fire balls is absolutely hilarious

Unpopular opinion: NSMBDS bosses are much more creative than what they did in the later titles, adding the koopalings in every single New Soup
When the koopalings were added in NSMBWii, it was creative and impressive to see the koopalings back after World, but then they added them again in New Soup 2 and U which was kinda repetitive and boring
The main problem is that the fights are identical
If they were unique fights then it would be fine
I still would have liked them to try original and creative bosses rather than simply limiting themselves to the koopalings, not to mention that it also makes the story monotonous and repetitive

Rexes are kinda funny in how their design hasn't made any reappearances, yet their behaviour did get reused in the form of Splunkins
Although you could argue that Rexes weren't really unique in that behaviour, since the idea of a 2-hit enemy that moves faster after being hit once is something we already saw before with Sidesteppers
But rexes should reapear imo
