I deleted worldmap snow particle and DM changed the blue sparkle coin particle to gray
Tip, if you're making custom bosses make sure to export the original boss area and don't delete the zone, boss and key, edit the boss area but leave the boss elements untouched

All I gotta say is, why not use coin sprites? If your level isn’t spammed full of actors in every inch it’s fine, also I use coin sprites a lot cause pow blocks. They are not in many levels but it’s just smth I case people carry them that I do

You need to move stuff into overlays
Again, they're not meant to be used all the time, only in specific circumstances, and they have a lot of issues for which I don't recommend using them all the time:
- They can cause performance/lag issues if there's too many of them on a single screen (sometimes your level can even crash if there's an excesive amount of them)
- If their "Direction/Z order" is not set to "left down/behind" they will always appear in front of enemies and fog effects, which looks ugly
- They're not affected by lightnings
- If you use an excesive amount of actors in your level you can run into issues with some actors disappearing when you enter the level for the second time, and placing a bunch of coin sprites increases the possibilities of this happening
Of course you can use them, but that doesn't mean you should only use them
personally I don’t even care abt anything ram or code related, I just like, use the coin tiles more than the sprites because they’re far easier to place in a level, with the coin sprites I’d have todo a lot of copy pasting instead of just a single drag click, and sometimes it can even crash nsmbe if you constantly press an actor

To me that just sounds like “don’t spam random crap” lol, not really a problem with the coin actors, they only really become a problem when they are updated by gravity. Main area I wouldn’t use them is if you have a big cluster of coins but if you only have like five on each screen it isn’t a problem.

it would be nice to make the volcanoes blend with the ground better. right now they kinda look like they've been placed on top of it. maybe doing some slight gradient with vertex shading could work
also w2 has a similar issue. tho probably a bit less noticeable because they're sometimes starting from the water rather than on the ground directly

I had a crazy idea here but idk how it could work, i wanted to make something like a lost world from dkc2 on ssmb, but instead of each world warping you you to this place, you would use a cannon to throw yourself on w5 blackhole, and on this world called "the singularity' would have 8 levels, 1 themed like sakura but with a Black bottom bg, same as w2, w3 w4/1, w4/2, w5/1, w5/2 and a level at the center called "the singularity"

And ofc, you would need all the starcoins from every world to unlock the cannon path
And i would change the star icon to a Black hole

also i think it's because the model gets reloaded for the second mario, when there's actually a mario actor present. and so it crashes

if i had to guess, these sprites were either something else in development, or they were deleted and load the mario actor instead. which could also explain why the mega goomba is sprite 22 (iirc) and that the goombas and koopas appear way later (in the sprites list), even though they were some of the first implemented enemies

Your level design is great, the only problem with the demo was the enemy spam and poor actor placement
Also, don't compare yourself with others, that's gonna end up affecting you mentally
Take it from someone who has gone through that song n dance, while it's hard not to compare, try to focus on doing things for fun of it. It's not worth the problems it causes

The first one iirc i fixed in a lot of levels
Just make even better levels 
All the modders have their own style and taste in what makes levels good for them
The trick is to compare all those and see what you like from a level
It should always be possible to make something that adheres to your own preferences more than any other level

so i guess the answer is "kinda"? the poison splash particles do appear at the water level, but the game doesn't give a crap about whether dorrie is actually in the poison or not (when it's in mid-air), unless it goes below, interestingly enough
It makes sense considering that Dorrie is only used in conjunction with poisoned water in the original game
The same thing happens with skewers, they will still display the water particles even if you use lava or poisoned water

I think the problem was that the texture/palette of luigi_head_cap_LZ.bin didn't match the format of the original
the workaround was to always use the head in luigi_head_nocap_LZ.bin

trust me, dont fall into the trap that every tiny detail has to be perfect, it ends up making u make no progress. Your levels have there own value and just try to make sure they dont feel to spammy
yeah, my levels are often not as long as some other modders but I cram a lot into them which is what makes my levels stand out, also a way I tile three coins in levels all the time

so, a lot of rexy problems got fixed, some i still need to see what is causing (but now imm 100% sure its node related) that is the previous related 3-B crash, 1-c crash and when playing arround the game freezes after a while, ill wait til dm send the imd and ill import in game and see if its fixed
but finally i can play with rexy without the game shitting itself, its so pleasant

I think it'd look more natural if the solid terrain extended offscreen here
so i take it i dont need to try n modify the imd right
I'd also reshape the semisolid terrain here to not be touching the blocks here like that as it really makes it look as if the terrain is solid
Maybe make the bamboo a little shorter or move up terrain a little (or both)
It looks weird when the bamboo is basically touching the ceiling
This might be slightly more of a personal thing, but I really am not a fan of when grass tilesets have parts without grass like this
The grass in general just looks way better than that ground floor and it makes it almost blend over with the semisolid
The background of the wall tiles and this piece of slope seem to not quite match the texture of the semi solid

If you want to have so many small pieces of decoration, it might be worth it to make some with the semisolid background if you have the space
