4-C and 4-Castle would be on the desert part
And 4-tower would be after 4-1 and would be on the spooky part
I noticed too that the bug where mario walks to the next world only happens on w1 w2 and w3, cuz w4 castle will have a cannon, and w5 is the final world

and then walks to whereever lol
there is a chance here to make a “world-travel” cutscene like in SMW if that is something of interest

if you're using my tool, keep in mind that the light is being projected onto a white sphere, so you should always make it a lot brighter than you think

would make more sense too not sure how fireballs would kill a ghost
if you want them to be invulnerable to fire just change the callback when fire damage is received
and make it world based so they only act that way when they’re eeries

NSMB DS Deluxe goofy hack doesn't have any code hacks
makes it so you can have bigger score sprites and can make it so that Mario and Luigi have their own score colors (kinda like nsmbwii where the score text is colored based on character)
so it's probably on your end or something. maybe it hasn't been converted properly for TRQ

and for the desert land it would be better to make it so the upper plateau is longer on the right side than the one below (either by extending the one or top, or shortening the one below)

Im trying to make vanilla castle but destroyed
i said i would give feedback later. well we're later now:
- there are too many different kinds of enemies in the level. shy guys, fly guys, eeries, bees, ninjis. and most of them are very similar in behavior, which makes them redundant. please reduce the kinds of enemies (i would personally keep: shy guys, fly guys, eeries, and ninjis, but place them more often and make them feel like an actual threat)
- the eeries are also kinda just there, not really being a threat. maybe add more of them or make them more in groups. they can also be defeated by ground pounds which imo kinda sucks (also i feel like you should make them not affected by the lighting to make them feel like ghosts)
- the level also just lacks coins for some reason. there are some coin piles, but they feel a bit random and just there. and i think you just need to add regular coins (maybe blocks as well)
- you can go on roofs but that seems to be under-exploited unfortunately (and also impossible to go on them half of the time). make it more rewarding to go on roofs: for example you could add coins, a star coin, maybe an entrance to a bonus room (a star coin could be enough tho). give the player a reason to go on top of the roofs, to explore. maybe add a few enemies that won't fall of the edges. heck, you could probably even put some short alternate paths there
- and the 3up is way too easy to reach and too visible. make it hard to reach instead
apart from that, i really like the vibes and visuals of the level, and it looks fun to play (despite the issues i've pointed out). i just feel like it needs these improvements to make it feel more unique and interesting
the level already stands out in theming and visuals. i feel like it now also needs to stand out in terms of level design
though if you're trying to make it so you can go on roofs, and that there's "content" on them, it might take time to redesign some sections (but imo would be worth it)

the water texture and its animation are a little bit weird
also one thing that i feel like is a missed opportunity for this worldmap is to make the lands be larger. while it does make sense in w2 (because it's some tropical islands and it's also literally in the world's name), it feels kinda weird to have w4 as 2 islands imo.
i just wished you had expanded the lands further, similar to the vanilla game (without necessarily making the whole lands accessible). it would give a bit more depth to the worldmap, and give the feeling that the lands are bigger

im trying to diferentiate in level design since theres a lot of structurally-wise similar levels
like 3-2, 2-ship, 3-3 (maybe not?), 2-1, 5-3, 4-1, 1-1, 4-B (maybe not??) 5-4 (only after the half) and 3-train (maybe not???)
so 6,5 confirmed to be similar, 3 im not sure and all the other are diferent, so its 9,5 levels that are similar
3-city is kinda similar but it have a LOT of stuff that diferentiates it
honestly i kinda feel like most of the "overworld" levels do seem to have some pretty similar structuring
