kinda unrelated but, for the bg walls of the second tileset, i'd suggest reusing those from snake block's extended volcano tileset. they're ds-styled
yours are literally the underground tileset from nsmbwii

there are the mushrooms (and unused clouds) in the sky tileset (as Frosty Cake mentioned), and also the semisolids from the lakithunder arena area. there are also the desert semisolids (as JPG64 mentioned), and the beach bridges. there's also the semisolid from ghost houses, those from the boss battle arena tileset. and also the cloud platform actor but idk if that one counts

Huh? How did your material settings look like? The option where you can set Front Face, Back Face, Both Faces. Which did you choose?

It was the "flipped normals" it make the inside faces turn the outside ones, the ds sees it as front face, but gives a weird shading
