The wm tutorial uses blender, not maya. It could have been as easy as maya if it wasn't for the plugins being written for mkds

i think the hack looks great aesthetically
but the level design sometimes isn't great
it has potential and good ideas tho, but some really needs fixing
some of it was made with no accounting for the powerups/twirl
Yeah, we all pointed out the level design needed improvements
we had to use savestates to play through it
It's mostly enemy spam, some star coins were painful to get and some other technical problems
the thing is that there are a bunch of specific things that i don't remember exactly
imo one of the most fun levels of the demo was the space level with mechakoopa-spikes. i barely had any problem with it except for a bug at some point
some levels have too much enemies or wrong enemy placement
Yea mostly of those stuff in the demo got fixed in the game
also imo the tank level was pretty difficult because of the cannonballs being too fast while the player is in low gravity. tho that could be a cool challenge i guess

what you could have done could be using 2 versions of the tileset: one that is extended, used only in levels/areas with the houses, and one that is not extended and "fixes" the extension (extended but contains sub nohara graphics)
So all the tilesets will be extended to have extra details
Thst could be doable, but since im not using subnohara in this mod i preffer saving tileset slots

The mushroom peaks tileset itself has odd white balancing. It should have much stronger blacks. But in context of the BG and semisolid it looks super out of place. It doesn’t complement the U styled BG, and the top of the semisolid is entirely different from the Mushroom peaks ground.
Even the hue of the tileset is more yellowish green than the rest of the tileset and BG elements
Both of these previous versions looked wayyy better than the one he just showed

well i reckon personally that a switch with a ? on it better conveys itll activate a mysterous event than a recoloured pswitch
