Not actually, since it will need the player to hurry before the screen start becoming pink shaded, when it becomes pink it will flash white 2 times and you will get a gameover, independent of how many lives u have

If you have 0 pink coins you will have more dificult in the level, if you bave 999 coins you will have less dificult in the level
Each second a purple coin will be drained ofc
So this level will not have normal coins, but purple coins
If you leave the level before clearing you will get your purple coin count to be the same as before

But if you die it will keep
and will the purple coins count towards 100% with its own star
Not really, its just a thing to not be used in the whole game but be used in the final level

Guys, i wanted to make those eletricity blocks a instant kill, but how should i do for warning the player? Make the eletricity particle be the bigger one? Add a skull sing?

i'd suggest maybe give them a flickering animation (black and yellow, not too fast because of epilepsy), and place amps to make it clear that they make those things electric

i think what u could do is change the sky to be a sort of pink-white transition, or pink to dark blue, sort of simulating space if thats what ur world is after
as for the hills i think they have decent colors

and the ground (unless its a cloud) not sure about it but could maybe be a more matching color too
the hills kinda look out of place imo. idk if its their bouncing animation that is too much because they're very tall, or smth

a few things i'd suggest:
- add deco on the islands (grass, flowers, etc)
- make the whole thing feel more space-themed. you could try changing the sky, and the color of the clouds
- giving the clouds a more "foggy" appearance, like you did on (very) old w2 and (current) w3. also giving them a slight shade of a color instead of grayscale
- lowering the island. maybe extending it to make it similar to smw
also the hills kinda have too much of a repeating pattern imo. maybe make the texture "take more place" before repeating itself?
the sky theme is great and original though
overall i think its pretty good. it needs improvements, but has potential
i meant like something that looks more like smw for example
but honestly that's not the main problem here, it would look fine with the sky still looking like this
Lowering or extending would be pretty tedious, since i would need to remake the path animations and such

I kinda like underwater levels, ssmb have some with underwater sections
The final castle will have some underwater sections so i will use for the last time the torpedos
The first level with them will be 1-5
the closest I have to underwater is bonus areas and levels that having changing water levels and floating bubbles

there used to be a crystal cave level for w1-2
It's a bridge level iirc

it was in very early versions of the hack
Yea, it was a cave before, but it got swapped to 5-B and now its green
oh so that's where you moved the level
speaking of which, there's one thing you probably didn't notice about your hack (one of the code hacks you included probably on accident)
In more recent versions of the old 1-2 (wich i didn't showcased) it had the same gimmics of purple lava bubbles (wich are green on w5) and the wobble ligt
the "no freeze" code hack. it prevents the game from freezing when getting a power-up, taking damage, going in a warp, or dying
Oh yeah, i did that because it makes the gameplay better
oh okay so it was a choice to keep it
I never liked really that freeze when you collect a item, take damadge or die, since it kinda made the gameplay stop for a few seconds, and since the game have a lot of stuff that will damadge the player in midair, it would he kinda impossible to dont fall

Because of vram stuff i removed every luigi model
And because i will have 3 custom itens, 2 of them using custom mario textures, and all the 3 using custom head and shell/wings models
So i had to save every byte of vram
And on every model i do i also do that
The Mario and Luigi models are never loaded at the same time lmao

Vram is overloaded when you "load too much stuff on the screen", it doesn't make sense to remove luigi because when you play as a mario, luigi's model doesn't take away any vram
You're just decreasing rom size

I did packs with the custom player stuff
The shells are together jn one nsbmd, the heads too (the acorn shell is not together nor the acorn head, since i always need to replace mario head and shell with acorn mario and shells)
But when the item is going to be made i will put both in the same nsbmd too
Actually the textures for acorn and boomerang are pretty small

for w1, the hills still look blue, which gives the feeling that they're reflecting the blue light from the sky... but the sky is pink so it looks wrong

honestly i prefer the previous background, it looked clean and detailed
what i dont like sometimes with your hack JPG64 is that sometimes you just change stuff impulsively, for seemingly no real reason
which seems to be the case for both the last tileset and background change
JPG, I personally firmly believe that your hack doesn't need to fully follow the NSMBU artstyle, some of the previous graphic choices were much better than the current ones imo, you don't need to change the graphics just for "consistency", as long as the hack is visually pleasant, that's all that matters

tbh i could probably make a good chunk of space in my grassland/autumn tileset if i do the multiple bitmaps in same positions using diff palettes thingy but ima do that some long other time since i cba to do it for now and dont need to anyways
The best way of optimizing tileset space is taking a good advantage of the 4 palettes and splitting some objects into 8x8 tiles by removing some duplicate unnecessary objects, the only downside of it is that it can be quite a pain in the ass to build in the map16 tab when you have tons of 8x8 objects

If you edit the NCG directly and avoid the parts where the flags are you shouldn't worry about that, but then, you'll have to tile the background manually
