Because when the player beat one boss he will need to beat another, so the boss cant trigger the level end
Oh but the bosses trigger the key
So i just need to make it trigger a door instead
no you can make them destroy specific blocks
like event blocks or those rotating "?" blocks with spikes
and place a pipe or a door the player can enter, but which is blocked by those blocks
and make sure the mega mushroom cannot destroy those blocks too

All my stuff is in the nsmbu artstyle, the ported tilesets from smw are also in nsmbu artstyle so i'd say that im using nsmbu art style

It will be really funny for the player, they will beat the tower (if they can) and the world map suddenly changes completely, even the song and the name lol
it would still be recognizable tho
but might be better to add some cutscene (for example with slides/images)
i wonder, story-wise, what's the purpose of the other stars?
also it doesn't make much sense that only one kingdom is corrupted, i think it would have been interesting if the goal of the game, without the bonus world, was to get back the stars to restore the sakura village/kingdom to its original state
Its because those without one of the 4 mini stars it would recover only a part of the color, and eventually the whole world would start to gain weird/messes colors (grass could be red and lava green and other stuff)
It would start corrupting the parts on the entire world, but since mario knowed that bowser stole the star he start a adventure to get it back, so it dont had enough time to corrupt the entire world, making it reversible
And if the whole world got corrupted it would be irreversible
And eventually the world would be erased from the existence, and not only the color
As you can see here, the hills and some islands got deleted and some stuff lost the shape in the corrupted version, but in the normal version we have it all

Well, here is: ||bowser stole the 5 power stars (aka pink stars) to manipulate the reality, but this whole plan whould destroy the whole world and eventually the whole timeline, and the other places as mushroom kingdom, bowser's valley and other mario worlds got corrupted, and bowser decided to go to a far away plannet, and when mario noticed that the reality got distorted he decided to investigate, and he found a book explaining the pink stars and theyr power, so mario already knowed what happened and who make it happen, and mario start the adventure, following the map that explained where the 4 mini stars and the big stars where located, so mario start looking for it, for thw world's Lucky 3 of the stars where located in a island near to dinossaur land, the island called "sakura archipellago" and then mario start his search for the stars, getting the stars he used their power for leading himself to the location of the 2 last stars, when all the stars where restored they created a portal, but this portal needed 70 pink coins for be openned, but mario already collected them, so he entered the portal that lead to the location of the star altar, the 4 small stars got already teleported it's places, exept for the big one, so mario runned for putting it in the altar and restore the world, but bowser still wanted the star, so he sent all his minions to the tower rooms, and blocking the stairs with doors that need to be released using keys that were with the minions, but even so, Mario managed to stop Bowser's evil plan and put the star in its rightful place.||
All my codes are made by illy or will Smith, but i dont ask for codes all the time because i dont want to be a jerk, i only ask for stuff that is nescessary for the level desing or for make it playabke
the bowser jr actor was coded by a sentient peice of manure that nintendo made in a lab
And Except for the final boss i will not ask for custom bosses tbh
i feel like there's a problem tho: world ๐ seems to be a major point in the plot of your hack, though it's also a bonus world, which seems weird. usually bonus worlds are only some optional bonuses, but here it seems to be probably the most important part of the hack

Its a bonus world in the meaning of having more chalenges after beating the boss
Also its called w ๐ for having the altar for the 5 power stars
but there's something wrong with this:
- usually, a game can be considered as "finished" when the main plot of the game is solved (here, saving the world with the stars, and stuff like that)
- bonus worlds however, have no significance to the plot, or are not required for the plot to be solved (world 9 in nsmbwii for example has no impact on the story). though in your hack it has the same plot significance as the final world in a mario game

Also, you don't need to abuse a powerup mechanic, you should try to focus on using the different game elements for different gimmicks, not everything needs to be based on the shuriken flower
I will use some of the boomerang mechanics for star coins and such in some levels

Not sure how i can help with that, but usually, when making a level, what i try doing is to choose 2-3 gimmicks for a level, preferably gimmicks that can go together in a way or another. And then find different gameplay ideas with them. And usually, the further you go in the level, the more the ideas are complex or creative

I don't think using NitroPaint for making backgrounds will do much though, you'd probably have to create backgrounds via NCG and NCL files and tile it manually in NSMBe

Protip: Resize the image to 256x448, make a copy of your tileset 3 times and place every copy under each other, and from there you just gotta delete some objects from the different palettes

Look for the palette file of the tileset you wanna replace, and also look for the one used in the beach tileset. Then extract the beach tileset palette and replace the one of the tileset you wanna modify. Then reimport the graphics and it should be good to go
You can also replace the whole tileset with the beach tileset, though in this case, you would have to retile the graphics, and recreate the tile behavior and the "objects"

Pretty good!! Though i have a few complaints:

some deco in the poison doesn't make much sense

at around 0:33, there's grass on the wall. except that we later see that this grass has no hitboxes at all

coin placement could be improved, for example at 0:53, and the bonus area. and overall the level kinda lacks of coins i think

the last sakura token isnt great. the idea is good, but the execution not so much. we can't see the ground we can stand on in the poison, and jumping from this ground in particular is kinda difficult. though the jump from one bamboo to another is nice
-
kinda a mix of multiple gimmicks: barrels, parakoopas, scuttlebugs, not sure that you really need the barrel knowing there's only 2 in the level (or you can use it more often but with more creative ways)
-
might need some camera work, like scroll-stop controllers or changing the camera settings of the view
-
the level is a bit difficult for 1-2 i think
apart from that i think that its a pretty solid level
