also whenever there's an entrance that comes from the sky or from below, its better to place it outside of the view so it looks like mario enters the view, rather than being locked in place

you can technically place nearly-infinite checkpoints in a level, but the level will always check only ONCE if the player has reached the/a checkpoint. and it only has ONE checkpoint entrance too

a hacky way of doing so would be placing a 1x1 zone for each coin as well as the "zone" controller, and place a few "and" controllers that will check if you entered all of the zones. those "and" controllers will themselves enable new ids that will get detected by other "and" controllers until you only get 1 event id that happens whenever you collect all of the stars

polishing should be at the end
because its at the end that you have more experience than at the start
and the point of the hacks is usually the levels. without them whats the point
there a few exceptions like Wario Time
but apart from that levels should be the main priority, so i'd suggest to actively work on them

making them transparent might take up performance, and make the player think you cannot stomp them

for mega shy guy, simply replace the mega goomba model and animation files with those of the shy guys. tho this might create some animation bugs
