Everyone is a rectangle so it can sometimes feel awkward if you jump towards an enemy and you think you’ll jump over it, but you were actually too close and you collide with it in midair

I love Hammer Bros, technically not that hard to get past, but challenging to defeat without powerups, I like having to wait for the right time to jump, in any case they have brick blocks underneath them usually
Sledge Bro is in my top 5 enemies

I think that they are too random and their off-cycle is too long
In terms of forced waiting they are a bad offender
Being on top of brick blocks helps but the fact that they’re placed that way is emergent of generally being not great to fight
And the wandering hammer bro in this game is not a good time

Boomerang bros fix the biggest issue with hammer bros which is that you need to wait out their cycle in order to interact with them because the hammers go up and get in the way of you trying to jump

They get easy to dodge once you figure out their timing, they're more annoying in the older games since they're always in very annoying places, and in the case of SMB1, you inmediatly become small if you get hit by an enemy even if you have a fire flower, which makes them even more annoying

Jumping cheep cheeps start at the bottom of the screen so they physically can’t interact with mario if he just runs past them in most levels they’re in
Hammer bros are not only forced waiting, they’re RANDOM forced waiting

They're not random, they have a defined pattern, they throw hammers for a while, stop, then jump, it's not that hard to predict, and there are many ways you can dodge their attacks

Jumping cheep cheeps are way more annoying because as much as you try to avoid them, you can always get hit by one by accident, and they can get really annoying when there are a lot of them in a single level, and the fact that they can respawn and that they're very hard to kill makes them even worse
The way you fight a hammer bro consistently without a powerup is you wait, and you wait a random amount of time, which should never exist in a platformer
Jumping cheep cheeps will sometimes kill themselves by jumping into mario’s feet so i’m not so sold on them being hard to kill
Their timing is not random, most of the time it's usually the same amount of time and it's only a few seconds, it's not like you have to wait an eternity for them to jump either
The only way to do that is to position yourself in a place where the cheep cheep just jumps out from under you, which is tedious and imprecise
This isn’t Mario maker, they stop if they have repeated the same move enough times

Didn't Mario Maker slow them down actually? If I remember correctly they used to keep tossing more aggressively, they'd even jump and toss hammers, now they're pretty harmless when they jump

Oh cool, I heard the game would get overwhelmed by its base enemies (Goombas, Koopas and Boos) being 3D and that's why they were sprites despite having in-game models (except for Boo) and that's why they had to be 2D

It was likely done to be easier on the gpu but every other level runs fine with 3d models
in most hacks I've played there have been sections where the creator placed too many enemies with 3d models, which caused the game to very noticeably slow down

Math one was easy, physics one was fucked, most questions were really poorly written and some of them you needed to use second order derivatives to even get a viable answer or some other crazy shit, most of my class left 20 questions out of the 60 in short answer empty, I only left 10 but I did not know what u was doing for a good chunck of them, just plugging numbers into formulas and hoping it works

I’m doing them in the right order, the motion of the animation is the same but the rotation is getting fucked, also I have debug stuff to play every animation one by one for the koopa, in the first case it was only the walk animation that was stuffed

bowser is special, since he is a boss he doesnt get despawned and he is always being rendered
so I had a problem with the bowsers not playing sound effects and that was because the music ram allocation is to low, thats why boss fights have increased allocation

Sure, you would be limited to fitting everything in one rectangle and no "spotlight" like in NSMBW, but it'd be cool!

holy crap these bros are wild. i feel like their bob-ombs explode a bit fast, though it kinda feels like they're throwing regular bombs that explode whenever they land on the ground. if that's what you want though, i guess that works. at least the bob-ombs don't go through blocks (which is annoying with regular hammer bros., and would be even worse here)
it does feel a bit empty/repetitive with the lack of variations in the ice blocks. so what i could suggest is to make a few 1x1 variations if possible (you don't have to tho)
speaking of the ice blocks, they have a red "explodable block" particle, and i think using a gray one (from stone blocks) would work better visually
i'm a bit sad that you changed the star coin in the screenshot to one where you just throw the bomb and have to be fast enough. it's better, yes, though i kinda wished the idea of having to make the bob-omb bounce in the air with fireballs was used somewhere else in the level (which seems to be what you tried to do here)
also for that sledge bomb bros at the end on the staircase, i really don't like it. usually i'm not a fan of "strong enemy to troll you at the end of the level", which just feels unfair gameplay-wise. smb3 did that a lot unfortunately (and even then you could usually avoid it by jumping right away to hit the end of level card). and here it feels like you either have to damage-boost or use a powerup to get through. and if you die, you have to go through this whole section of the level, again and again (i suffered from this while playing SMB The New Worlds as well...)
also the timer feels a bit tight. though that's probably also because of going through the B-Side room
oh also, the coins have some gray pixels on their animated frames. (just letting you know in case you couldn't see it)
oh for the sledge bro btw, usually it can be interesting when you have to do something before the staircase gets "destroyed" if you're not fast enough. but usually it's better if it's still somewhat easy for the player to survive. for example if you really wanna keep that sledge bomb bro, you can put some kind of passageway below the staircase (2-3 first rows of blocks, like in the nsmb 1-2 secret exit kinda)
otherwise might be good to find some way with bob-ombs, for example having some that are ready to explode
I really like how this level looks and it seems fun to play, so far I only have four complains:
- When Bob-Ombs destroy iced blocks they show red block particles, which looks weird and unfitting
- The Super Mario Sunshine music in the underground area feels out of place (and the background is also glitchy, I'm assuming it's because your underground tileset is replacing one of the volcano slots)
- I feel like the Bob-Ombs thrown by Bomb Bros explode too fast
- The timer in this level feels unnecessarily tight
Other than that, this level is awesome, it's nice to see a new level from this hack after not having seen any previews in a while

in one of their recent vids they "recreated" the sawblade npc in wonder and the way they went with creating the assets is pretty similar to way you described it
