What matters is the audio, all you need to do is stand besides a pipe that warps to a view in the same area that plays the same nwav. Then hold your phone in one hand and press the dpd with the other

On the topic of the roy fight being long though. I should add a setting to end it after each phase for others who want to use it in their hacks
I think it's fine, vanilla NSMB bosses are so easy that you can literally beat them all in less than 5 minutes without using the mega mushroom or shooting fireballs which makes them boring and docile, longer and harder bosses on the other hand feel more fun and challenging

The only thing I feel weird about is the Koopalings having extremely uneven screentime, like Larry and Lemmy get regular battles while Roy has these elaborate phases
Like for me they should all get equal exposure, with other bosses getting the long stuff
But in terms of the boss battle itself, it's very well done

Very based!!! I always wanted to make him a boss in an NSMB game. As a kid I had drawn out his whole move set. I feel like he’s one of the few paper Mario bosses that can be make into an NSMB boss

It would if done correctly, a dragon is really good as a mountain boss
not really, due to the scale of the dragon, I guess in wii/u you can zoom out a bunch though

i think ill end up rigging him to mortons armture and making a few custom animations aswell as reusing some of mortons ones if they work
The TTYD doesn’t give you much to work with. All she does is spit fire, stomp you, eat the crowd, and then it spits out a shell and a chest at the end
I wanted to do something where you can only hit him in his normal form as he throws around magic (like the Wii koopaling) and once you hit him he turns into a cosmic clone style player, uses a random power up, and then will try and hurt Mario until the power up runs out. Then the cycle repeats
They are, the only difference is status conditions that the fire does from what I remember
I had an idea where he becomes the player you are playing as and acts like a clone with some random attacks
the powerup thing I have also thought of but it would be a pain to do
This would work in DS, but because Wii and U are coop games, copying only one players movements is really lame for the other players
Only mentioning Wii and U because of this (I modded Wii as a kid)
I would honestly much rather see it in u, it feels like everything that can be done in wii has been done

2 reasons.
- its for a speed run strat, you can hit him if you jump on his feet when hes jumping
- So the projectiles are not always in the same place

Idk, I really feel like the NSMBWii and U communities are way too perfeccionists and they only focus on the bad things whenever someone showcases something, they take modding way too seriously
I sit a lot closer to Evo's views than this place's
I'm not saying that giving constructive criticism is bad, but a few compliments from time to time don't really hurt you know, and people could be a little nicer with their criticism rather than just going "Erhm, this is bad, fix it"

I don't like koopalings because I think they are boring compared to NSMB's new bossed

Nearly every 2d Mario boss fight is boring tbh
The Wii castle fights are my favourites bc they shake things up, the tower fights clearly being throwbacks, thus being kind of basic
I saw a comment suggesting you remove the time limit; as much as I don't care for time limits in NSMB levels (minus NSLU, in which the mechanic had a place), they do make sense due to the hack's difficulty and the levels that you have to rush through
I.e. 4-Castle and 7-1's (I think) B-sides
But the increased speed does make some goals pretty tight

So, unless she disables the timer only for some levels, there will be a timer

honestly the particles feel a little excessive now. i think it's alright (especially because the game doesn't have much choice in terms of particles), though the particles that appear when Larry hits the wall feel off
also i think it would be nice to add a "slap" sfx when Larry gets hit by anything else than a jump (just like Bowser Jr)
