As the title suggests is there a way to use my current progress for the dedicated server or do I have to start from scratch with houses, the ferry and rockslide? Also if so will the progress made on the dedicated server transfer back over to if i play single player since its in my world?

Head over to that location on your computer to find your world global a and b files
You'll want to move these files to your server.
If you want to also play singleplayer with it still, you'll have to copy paste the files multiple times. There isn't an easy way to do this.
