So I got this quest from Dove at the Windless Woods Ranch. it tells me to check out/discover why the spiders have been so aggressive and to start around the mushroom log.

So I did just that, and i can not get further. I've killed lots of spiders. The mushroom log can be corrupted, and when i defeat the shades, nothing happens. I feel like I have searched around the place pretty hard but no matter what i do the quest just doesn't update/progress.

Anyone know how to progress/ give a hint?

I know i killed a drune there but it didnt affect the quest at all

there is an npc named thistle with drune AI so he tries to kill you

so what would be best? abandon the quest and restart it?

or is it once you abandon a quest its gg no re?

Just wait for the patch because you can't talk to him anyway

You can reset Thistle by abandoning the quest and getting it again, this doesnt fix the bug though.

I was able to abandon quest then pick it up again and talk to him
