Most of the trees are custom built, a little larger and more detailed than regular dark oaks. Using Azalea Bushes and Surface Moss to provide some highlights + variation in the moss. A variety of sizes of mushrooms - the largest have shroomlights in the cap to provide some lighting in the area. Some progress shots of my base, including a fallen hollow log, a cave under a tree, the giant tree with a house in its roots, a hobbit hole, and a Siren-based fishing farm w/ coral + prismarine.
First five pics are the latest additions - the forest expansion so that it wraps around my maze. The latter five pics are a base update for those who may not have seen it yet.

Got rid of the ring, but added quite a bit more to replace it!
I started shaping the tree into a balcony, but building such large trees is really hard!
The greenery is helping tie it in to the rest of the base, too. 🙂
