chill down complete
Let’s gooo
Slow fill

Tonight I'm definitely not sleeping
because we are finally GOING
i wish i could stay up all night but i couldnt
Don’t leak, don’t leak, don’t leak
i have set m alarm for 5:30
i need at least a lil sleep
ill probably be back at about T-1hr
It’s gonna leak, how much it leaks is what we need to watch
From what I've heard from the briefing last night they can allow a bit of leaking above 4% during a short period of time
beautiful beast
Chill down of the LH2 transfer lines between the cryosphere and the rocket is complete and teams have begun LH2 slow fill. The core stage tank will hold 537,000 gallons of LH2.
additional confirmation
Lox slow fill
Teams are now in slow fill for liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen.
yep!

pipe
Holy camera
LOX Fast fill
what about China
Teams have begun fast fill of LO2 to the core stage.
yay
No leaks pls
There will be leaks
Good night gentlemen,
Alarm has been set, I'll see you when it's 4.30 am for me lol. There better not be some failure...
Goodnight to you fellow rocket enthusiast
8:08:08
time flys when im sitting on my ass doing nothing
so true
Hearing no leaks from MCC yet
Sounds good
Don’t miss the launch of @NASA’s #Artemis I mission. This mega rocket is set to launch from Pad 39B at Cape Canaveral, FL on November 16 at 1:04 a.m. EST (0604 GMT). Watch live here: https://t.co/bZCaiJszCt.
🛰️Satellite image from November 12, 2022.

please don't
fucken spirals through the air
i may have homework to do but you bet that is geting left till the last minute while i sit around being sad i have nothing to do
Ah yes, Eric Berger, the least biased source on SLS
the what
Peanut are you here to talk about a rocket launch or to act as a 5 yo ?
Oh well too late
Pog
fast
SLS 😔
The team has begun fast fill of liquid hydrogen into the core stage. Fast fill of liquid oxygen is still underway.
Correct
For now yes
Everythings on time so far
Making good progress
Is there a chance of it launching earlier
No
Oh good
Not how it works lmao
No, needs the moon to be in the right place :D
2h
iirc with EUS they can launch anytime of day
Yeah that'll be sweet
That's cool
EUS is decently far long in development
It’s at the same state SLS was in 2015-2016 rn and progressing decently fast
I hope it doesn't scrub today because it's at a perfect time for me
Train/Bus time ?
Sad
Engine bleed kickstart
Come on #3
Shout out engine 3
I ❤️ engine 3
We all have an engine 3 in our lives
dk abt all day but they can go any day
alright lads gonna go take a nap for 2 hours so I can stay up later and watch the launch
No like, the capability offers them the ability to send Orion to the Moon anytime of day from a positioning sense
even with inclination?
possibly
EUS is based
Bleed complete 🙏
I mean, EUS allows SLS to launch a fuck ton of mass to TLI compared to ICPS
so when your only payload is Orion... yeah
you have some extra performance
small leak during engine bleed but it was within range
SLS should really just have the Earth Departure Stage err... I mean the Exploration Upper Stage instead of the ICPS
She’s gorgeous gorgeous
The subset is beautiful
EDS was less capable than EUS
Well that's the long-term plan
what I'm saying is that Block I should not exist and they should have just gone to Block IB
we are through a lot of the earlier difficult stages, next part where issues could appear wont be until terminal count!
Based
Not necessarily
SLS would have launched in 2030 if that were the case lmao
If EUS got it’s full funding earlier and we designed ML from ground up instead of cannabalizing Ares 1 ML
NASA did not have nor the budget nor the bandwidth to develop both CS and EUS
Sadly
Well now CS dev is winding down so that freed up a lot of money for EUS
That's why EUS is being developed now and not in like 2014 which is when it was first introduced in the Block 1B design
After Block 1B, SLS doesn't need a lot more than a faster launch cadence tbh
Needs new boosters
Bolé 💃
CS dev wind down also freed up money for BOLE which is nice
I mean
Yes
But decreasing the time between two launches seems more important
Not saying that BOLE isn't a great (and needed) improvement tho

Howdy ppl, hows the launch/countdown looking? On the move and bad internet :/
it’s good so far
Countdown should be about 1 hour no?
Close but not quite, we’re at T-6:39:40 and counting
Don't you mean 6am ?
The launch is at 6:04am UTC
i start school at lunch so byebye sleep
Ahaha, thats better for me. Boy did i fuck up the timezone conversions in my head. :)
Just spent like 5 hours debugging code
oof
but did all the issues come from a + instead of a -
Core stage liquid oxygen is currently at 35% filled, liquid hydrogen 40% filled.
Guys
WE ARE GOING
YES WE DO
HEART
Core stage liquid oxygen is currently at 51% filled, liquid hydrogen 76% filled.
oh my
I DONT BELIEVE IT

NASA 4k
wharrr
My thoughts exactly.
ikr
they finaly upgraded stream quality and probly not again for 20 years
They only upgraded it for KSC
not that they need thet upgrade more bacuse 4k is more than plenty
so it's still going to be 720p for most of the non-Artemis I livestreams
yeha cringe
feel like 4k is gonna be plenty quality till be move on from traditional screens
LH2 87% LOX 57%
oh gosh
This is so based
This is fucking incredible
Holy shit
what
I can't believe that I'm seeing those numbers
Feels unreal to read those numbers
what happend
Tanks are almost full
Tiiicbwgtstiol
its working!
ICPS fueling should start in an hour or two
tanks filled without a single fucking leak
wen leak?
there was a small one during engine bleed but it was within limits
ofc
I refuse to watch youtube or a stream below 1440p. The codec Youtube uses for 1080p and below is ass
Blocky ass blurry bitrate
i commonly watch youtube at 480 p
same
its perfectly useable on my phone
my internet can't take streams of resolution higher than 480
on pc 1080p is good enougph
on tv 4k is nice
exept tv i s1080 p
but if it was 4k
Depends on the site
For youtube 1080p looks ass compared to 1440p because of the codec
Even if you take 1080p original footage and upload it to youtube in 1440p it looks way better
the cubesats are eagerly awaiting
icps
Especially one of them https://twitter.com/jeff_foust/status/1592310631893549060
Sarafin says, regarding the 10 cubesat secondary payloads, that there’s only one that has a low state of change that is of concern; he doesn’t name it but describes it as one mapping lunar volatiles (LunaH-Map?)
It's the cubesat equivalent of the guy asking if he can go to the bathroom during a very long trip
Aren’t they like dead though
what
LH2 full

excuse me what the fuck
yea 20 mins ahead on the timeline
I peed in the ICPS Lox tank
epic trolling
Small leak from LOX

I am going to riot
Non issue
eh seems like its fine
Hi
Meanwhile me : Completing my Excel with data of obscure Soviet and Chinese launches
Meanwhile me : Lurking on Twitter, YT or anything that keeps me awake
There's a chrome/FF extension which forces h.264 instead of vp9
Thanks
l o l
I don't know why but I feel like ICPS is going to do a funny
Whether it's on the ground or inflight
SLS boutta get destroyed by Ceres-1
Galactic Energy will launch their We Are Going Before You mission
It's been sitting around for 7 years so
Should be fine
icps purge
7 years isn't that long
shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up shut up
It's like wine, NK-33 is better than cringe RD-181
@ nilered, please turn wine into MMH
@nilesred please blow up my house
Technically it wouldn't be hard to turn wine into rocket fuel imo
Still in fast fill for core stage liquid oxygen, currently at 81% filled.
I...
already done
@nilegreen please provide me with a tsar bomba
literally the cringest rocket kerosene on earth
even chinese one turned out being more interesting
T-30 minutes until ICPS tanks filling
im excited! planning on heading out there at L-3h
have fun
oh wow NASA is 1 hour and 20 minutes ahead of schedule
NASA is what
you heard me
SO WE ARE GOING
@long epoch not think you would hear thing
Boi I had a stroke reading this
I would rather have a stork than a stroke
Well, you already have the former
Now it's time for the latter
what's the countdown for the stroke?
whar
Just woke up from nap? Everything okay so far?
yes
Indeed, shockingly
Excellent
we are going to the moon
going
Technically Artemis I is going to the Earth
and technically I am going to your house
oh god it’s peter
Debating on getting a nap in before heading up.
sleep is overrated
don't sleep
that's why it's almost 2am and I'm still not sleeping
might be better to sleep there so you have a spot
There's a chance I'd get up there then just conk out in the truck in the parking lot and wake up at sunrise.
I'm only going to to Hangars Beach, shouldn't be too bad.
Don't feel like dealing with the crowds and traffic.
Close enough for me.
the rocket should wake you up
Doubtful.
how close is hangar’s beach
25ish miles 40ish kilometers.
okay yeah sound prob wouldn’t be that loud
Directly south, right across from PSFB.
i'm about to pack up my tablet and park out there alone
use my mobile hotpost to do some work while i wait
Where're you watching from?
i was thinking Alan Shepherd park, but i dont know if there will be space available. i haven't been to a launch since the shuttle program
Rainbow what
not having a launch site in continental Europe is killing me
No, Plesetsk

should i email you an estes kit
are you saying soyuz is not cool
French invasion of Russia soontm
You know, not being actively monitored by the French secret services is also good
the lox tanks are pretty cool imo
There's a place down the road, Long Doggers. Not sure if they're open late. But close to there. Wifi, cold beer, good food. Decent view for launches.
what
At the very least you could probably just park there and watch if the park is full.
Europe is, uh, a bit more touchy about explosives if you couldn't tell
how the hell is an estes rocket a live explosive
just don’t launch them into poland and you’ll be fine
Y'know what I mean
rainbow would you like a stomp rocket instead
Those are fun
indeed
eoopkzqdpkokebf
wdym, they don't do that in freedom country
there are some nice things about continental Europe compared to Central Florida lol
Anything noteworthy in last hour
No
The thing is doing the thing
I'm honestly kinda shocked how smooth this has gone
But uh yeah, estes rockets are way too powerful for what's allowed in France
(Me complimenting SLS
what alternate universe have I been brought to)
right ??
This the same france that basically allows the purge to happen on new year
In France, the sale and firing of powder rockets is typically restricted to micro rockets (micro motors A, B, C with an elevation of up to 150 meters)10 . Firing requires permission from the landowner and insurance coverage for the activity. The rocket must be equipped with a slowing down system (parachute or streamer). It is forbidden to fly living organisms.
Depending on their weight, power and altitude, some rockets require an authorization from the Direction générale de l'Aviation civile (airspace management)
Can't have shit in France
especially them being 1hr and 20 minutes ahead of schedule
No living organisms? Sad
the what
you can have rocket, just ask DGA
C ain't awful
You mean that ?
Pic either from Strasbourg, Haguenau, north of France or 93
Man
This is literally a picture from Strasbourg
how the fuck
If during the New Year's celebrations of 2012 and 2013, the Mulhouse agglomeration had surpassed that of Strasbourg in the count of cars set on fire, it is indeed the Eurometropolis which holds each year the greatest number of cars "set on fire".

Obviously
Is it still balling
Bro, they sell absolutely huge fireworks literally 10m after the German border
you can literally go there just by walking or tram
Lol yeah this is how things are done here too
Technically illegal to sell in NY but you can just head over a state or two and buy all you want
lmao what the hell is allowed?
I don't know the restrictions on them here
burning cars
You're in Australia, the correct answer is "what restrictions"
says the american
This year, 95,000 police officers and 32,000 firefighters were mobilized on the evening of December 31. There were 400 arrests.
"Only" 874 cars were burned on New Year's Eve, compared to 1,316 two years earlier.
I fucking love this country
True
We can do anything if you're far enough away from the cops
In morning lesson right now
Will end at L-3 hours and I’m fully free
Alsace has the highest mortality rate due to fireworks in europe
Oh boy @gray merlin I can't wait for new years in Paris!!!
okay make a gas powered rocket tbe
Be sure to put the engine above the propellant tanks
For optimal balance
Buch of bobo there that will do nothing but kiss each other saying "Ouhlàlà et puis la santé aussi c'est important"
^ this mf thinks rockets should be passively stable
pour gas into the tube and drop a match
It's a reference to hoopskirt
don’t worry it’s not a pipe bomb
NOTS-EV-1 enters the chat
oh fine
NOTS-EV-1 leaves the chat having failed to orbit any useful payload ever
I understood 0% of that
Inb4 "bUt It MiGhT hAvE aCtUaLlY rEaChEd OrBiT"
Miranda when sources don't please her
According to our information, in Toulouse, the night was relatively calm. About ten vehicles were burned this year.
I fucking can't take it anymore
The only significance is that it demonstrated was air launch waaay before anything else
The clock on the stream says a different time of launch to the app
Yeah that's nothing
Yho mean to tell me you haven't made a pipe bomb by accident before
Why do you think we are banning cars in Strasbourg
They'll just move onto burning other things
kžneêdíxke when the sources are inconclusive (he assumes the null hypothesis is false anyway)
This make me confuse
The T0 isn't exact
because there are planned holds and things
Won't be for hours
Is ULA launching this rocket or what
1:04 eastern (UTC-5)
and what do we do when we have inconclusive evidence that a null hypothesis is false, amaury?
You don't say "boooo it's failure"
What the fuck happened in 2020
covid
we fail to reject it
we do not label it a success
this doesn't explain the sudden increase in burning cars
If there's no evidence that it succeeded, why would we immediately jump to "success"
no one does that
Gn bozos
Alright
Probably people pissed off due to COVID
Gonna crank my alarm
ESA using "Mega Moon Rocket"

NOTS-EV-1: An Astra Rocket
SCIMMROISTUS
Sounds like a Jax acronym
Ok, cool, so if there were some app that listed launches as successes or failures, and the rocket doesn’t have sufficient evidence to say it succeeded, we wouldn’t label it a success then?
Where is the Inconclusive label on this app exactly ?
His latest (cc @ember pulsar)
NOTS-EV-1 :
- Launches from a fucking plane
- Looks like a fucking Tintin rocket
- Goes to space
- ??????
- Profit
there isn’t one, but remember: we failed to reject the idea it was a failure. We did not have sufficient evidence to say it was a success. So what would the most appropriate label be between the two?
@Zshauladventure Artemis is like my first wife. Everything seems great. In the end, nothing is left.
That's quite the take
Someone has had a bad day today
there isn’t one, but remember: we failed to reject the idea it was a success. We did not have sufficient evidence to say it was a failure. So what would the most appropriate label be between the two?
His first wife probably filed for divorce
derrol has dementia
The null hypothesis should not be that it was a success, amaury. That’s unscientific and you know it.
counT
guys
Null hypothesis should be it's a null hypothesis, and that's all
ICPS is doing the thing
The interim cryogenic propulsion stage main propulsion system, which will give @NASA_Orion the power needed to begin it's journey to the Moon, is now in fast fill for LH2 and LOX.
Rest is purely subjective
not really, no
It is, welcome to science !
there is an event that does not conform to previous events and there is an event that does
Now if you're not happy, write a complain to Michael to add an "unknown" status, or go code your own app lmao
That’s like saying “we don’t have sufficient evidence to believe the metal cap in that one test did not reach earth escape, therefore we must assume it did”
Currently coping
That’s not how this works
@robust ore there is zero evidence that NOTS-EV-1 reached orbit besides "uhhh we might have picked up signals from it but we don't know," why the hell is it marked as a success
Good? Great
We have two sources, of two distinct events, testifying of a reception of a signal. No source can indicate a launch failure. A true scientific conclusion would be to say that the status of the flight is unknown, but that elements have been noted that could suggest a partial success, but that the satellite quickly stopped communicating
HI SPIFFLE S
barely?
No, you need to have conclusive evidence it is a success before declaring it as such. You do not.
Same
Wise words there
so many silly stories from the past 3 months
Crazy, I don't say that !
today this week this month has been... yeah
My god why am I still debating with these people
well someone at NXF does
Amaury go post on twitter about how energiya is a better rocket than SLS
the past 3-7 years lol
hey guys, I'm currently inside Orion
You know people really think I would do or think that right
do you not think that
Yes do it it'll be funny
why are some of them marked as success even, not even partial failure? FLTA002 is marked as a partial failure even though it achieved all main goals and this thing that inarguably (yet you continue arguing such) did not reach orbit is supposedly a success
no life support, might wanna get off before launch
Do they have any more of those double decker cheeseburgers?
If u wanna talk about that #générał-space is open
You see this is exactly why I don't like to debate with people who have totally stupid preconceived ideas about people
otherwise stick to Artemis 1
Why did you
There's no partial failure possible on that, either it's a success, or a failure
I’m surprised! Why is SLS better?
Nah, feels good here with my super astronaut friend Arthur Campos
Then failure. Unless it is definitively a success it is a failure. Fullstop. But if you're too stubborn to put it down as a failure, at the very least change success to partial failure
sorry, is this not the right place to ask about energiya SLS comparisons?
And why is Spectrum better than K65M-RB5 ?
Also what the actual fuck is this
Apparently, Artemis I earns 10 000€ per month in salary
fr*nch
I can't believe a human being actually wrote this
"Artemis I - Wealth / Salary : 10 000€"
class shardemis
what’s spectrum
Yeah
who would say otherwise smh
buffoons
The interim cryogenic propulsion stage main propulsion system is still in fast fill and at 18% for liquid hydrogen and 44% for liquid oxygen.
Tim is playing KSP on stream lmao
The fact that no issues are being reported is worrying me
How the fuck can it go this smoothly
After what we've been through those past 9 months
With the WDR and launch attempts
Lost it
mentally ill people be like
lets trust it’ll go to plan 🫂
moon
moon
moon
We are going to the Mooooooooon
We are here at KSC Press Site with Felix and Paul Studios, Flightline Films using Ed Geiger's trackers. Should be a fantastic show if you have the VR goggles.
wow that's a big one
the rocket gods have stopped fucking with us
Having a dedicated status for fuzzy cases is something that has been debated, and may one day be implemented. Now I am doing with the elements that we have, it is something that I have personally debated with 6/7 other people iirc from different countries who know much more than me in this field, including a person who worked in this measuring station, and was able to look into the archives, to confirm the existence of these signals. And I'd rather believe people who have independently agreed on lining on success rather than failure based on the available evidence, than two random people on Discord who apparently think they know everything about spaceflight and how things should be done. Now, I've always been open to discussion and debate, this app would never have been made without it, but when it's presented in such a pedantic way, based on arguments that are simply based on general truths rather than on reliable sources (I gave one or two I think a few months ago, which apparently you've forgotten), it's of no interest whatsoever, except to waste people's time, and to create this rather toxic atmosphere that's been raging on this server for quite a long time already. So from now on, it would be really nice if you would stop this constant bad faith with everybody. If you want to debate in a scientific way, fine, but do it with good will, and with sourced arguments, without wanting to reach a conclusion that you have already predefined in advance.
Anyway, back to Artemis, and I hope to never write that message again, if you want to answer or anything, #off-topic please
“SLS is going to enable us to get back and forth to the Moon and beyond for decades to come.” - Adminstrator Bill Nelson at the #Artemis I countdown clock
the old man is on the launch site
And now that I'm thinking about it, Thomas Pesquet and Bill Nelson are a few dozen meters away from each other

https://twitter.com/nasagroundsys/status/1592698660839903232?s=46&t=RLb2ghfHksQ_OUrVzZJitQ please work
Upper stage liquid oxygen fast fill is complete. The team is proceeding with the liquid oxygen tank valve test.
173
within limits currently
fuck
plus they have an extra hour+ to fix stuff
and they have a solution
the Red team would go out to the pad
It is strange that they fill one of the tanks with smoked salmon but I suppose it works ¯_(ツ)_/¯
215
with a fueled vehicle?
thats what the red team is
meat rocket
you should
That what I was figuring.
still lots of time left in the count
LH2 stop flow, will likely send red team out
they have 1 hour 20 minutes of extra time plus a launch window that goes to 3 am EST
fuck
So take a pillow and some coffee.
I have a hammock rig up in the bed of the truck, but I know the kids will just use it. Curse the youth.
yep red crew going out
LOX i thought
damn
the leak is a lox valve but they had to stop flow on the other tank so they can work on it
whyyyyyyyyy
uhh
it was going so welllll
We are going
Hello back. Nice to meet you.
nice to meet u
theres nothing to worry about yet
ok good
SLS/Artemis 1: Sensors indicate an intermittent leak in a valve on the mobile launch platform; it briefly spiked at 1.5 percent but then came back down to 0.2%; moments later, hydrogen replenish was halted; NASA is going to send a "red crew" to the pad to troubleshoot
the leak curse has begun
what's this about a red team
I love how Germans are forming their sentences like Yoda
they have a 2 hour launch window they can push into plus an hour extra due to them being ahead of schedule
they are working on a plan to send the red team out to fix the issue
They send some really brave motherfuckers to the pad to fix it from my understanding
Hazard pay!
how long wil that take
yep
no clue but they have time
wait 1.5% doesn't violate constraint though
god bless
so no need to get worried yet
that's what I'm thinking
looks like they don't want to risk anything
why are they doing this? it spiked and went back down
What’s leaking again
it spiked twice
i mean fair enough but idk seems confusing
What if it spikes constantly
LH2 replenish valve
ah alright
Is it LOX or the notoriously leaky LH2
Ah
Valve inside the ML so its pad accessible
same issue apollo 11 had on its launch day
thank christ
Can’t believe I’ve been watching this thing since T-8
same
fun fact there
small amounts of trolling
Such a silly rocket, love that for her
everyone just breath
@jackiewattles @astro_luca To be fair that’s what he says about pizza too
Meanwhile, Thomas Pesquet talks about pizza
oh yea also does anyone know how full the core stage and icps are?
Upper stage liquid oxygen fast fill is complete. The team is proceeding with the liquid oxygen tank valve test.
493
Is there a YouTube channel without any commentary?
there's a NASA livestream of pre launch tanking operations with the occasional update
what about core stage?
That sounds much better.
Core stage liquid oxygen and core stage liquid hydrogen are both full and in replenish mode.
537
oh jolly good
core stage is full, icps was getting there with lox being fully filled and LH2 flow now stopped
exciting night
so where is this leak? the LH2 valve on icps?
LH2 replenish valve, unsure if core
on the MLP
its not on the rocket
*ML (just a little nitpicky cause MLP is for Shuttle and Apollo)
it's great I guess
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrW8ifZ1iWc I think this is the only one without commentary? idk
From NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, live coverage with commentary of tanking operations to load propellant into the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket for the Nov. 14 launch of the Artemis I flight test.

yea
just hope it doesn't take much time to be repaired
same
from what we know they're just gonna tighten the bolds
*bolts
Thanks, yeah I just found that one too.
quick and ez
👍👍
Much better. No yip yapping.
We Are Going indeed
there is talk from time to time
Yeah but not the constant droning on.
NASA official broadcast starts in about an hour I think
ARE WE GOING?? YES WE ARE
must be fucking wild to be on teh Red Team though
they have to go up right next to a beast
true
Their courage must be unparalleled
hopefully this will be a quick fix and they will be moving on
For real
Drawing straws for who has to tighten the bolts.
Again this happened on Apollo 11 so no worries
When is backup date if scrub tonight?
19th would be 1:45 am
25th would be a morning launch, 10:10 am
A morning launch would be pretty neat ngl
someone asked “what happen if srb not light” 💀
Get cool lighting on the plume.
SLS core stage greenrun #2
EMS is notified for the red crew... Sorry, but if something happens they're not going to be needed.
lol
Wonder what they're driving out there? Electric or diesel?
idek whether i should stay up for this launch or not
May as well stay up long enough to see what happens with the red team.
godspeed red team
Depending on how it goes will determine if I leave the house.
you close enough to see it?
From home, yeah. But may as well get a little closer.
85 miles 140 kilometers south.
ah
Still get solid views from home.
awesome
And 23
Probably going to go up to PSFB, might only go up to Vero Beach. Decent view at either. Both closer than than home.
"Do they still serve cheeseburgers?"
only 2 technicians wow
should take 15 minutes to fix
they are quick damn
Pretty sure this happened during Apollo 11
Someone ping if itscrubs
@empty coyote
its doug!
What
yippee
All I can think of with the red crew is a red shirted away team member.
fr
Launch Director Charlie Blackwell-Thompson has just given the 'go' for the specialized 'red team' to enter the Launch Pad 39B to tighten bolts on a valve on the mobile launcher.
103
Kirk, McCoy, and Ensign Jimmy beamed down to the planet...
don't scurb
ok good
Better not scrub. Don't want to wake the kids up and load them into the car for nothing.
It's at a good time for me
We Are Going
That's why I'll be mad if it scrubs
I have half an hour before I need to leave.
And that's taking a leisurely scenic drive up the ocean the whole way.
2.5 hours to go
NASA’s Derrol Nail who’s keeping us up to date on what’s happening says he was told this was a “straightforward” task, though hazardous.
scariest straightforward task
Hey people! Home from school and ready to watch a moon rocket!
Hope they're wearing the brown pants
Minivan was not what I was expecting.
Me neither
Same lol
You'd think that they'd take smaller cars..
Probably have a bunch of tools and gear.

Too much jibber jabber on that channel for me.
Not yet.
me on nasavideo + nsf
Waiting to see how the red crew goes.
switching between both whenever i hear they're talking in the NASA video stream
I can leave in about 20 minutes, take a leisurely drive up the coast, and still be there 40ish minutes before the start of the window.
2 technicians and
They need red shirts.
one crew safety if i remember correctly
ah
blue shirt 👎👎
If only the red crew had the time to look up and admire how small they are compared to the SLS
Really gives scale
They're probably trying not to make eye contact.
probably anxious as hell being next to 2,000 tons of prop
who wouldn't
If it scrubs can someone ping me
sure ig
this is the craziest thing i have ever seen watching rockets
You know the guys is there thinking, "You've got this, Jim! Lefty loosey, righty tighty! You've got this!"
The integrity of the launch is on that wrench
Hope they grabbed a left handed hammer, just in case.
Haha
if its scrubs I hope it scrubs before 1 so I can fucking sleep
They'll let the window roll all the way out.
Assuming it gets that far.
Welp, about time to wake the kids back up and start heading up.
have fun
drive safe 👍👍
Where are you heading to?

Watch live as our mega Moon rocket launches an uncrewed Orion spacecraft on a six-week mission around the Moon and back to Earth. During #Artemis I, Orion will lift off aboard the Space Launch...
official nasa stream
@shuttle what if srb not light
in 4k
is the official nasa stream slighttlyy delayed? it seems to be around 30 seconds behind compared to the nsf one
oh thats good to know, thanks!
We have the livestream set up for low latency, NASA never sets that mode on their streams
But 4K in particular doesn't allow that setup
Which is also why Tim's stream is also behind by several seconds
Bc youtube dumb
ah i see
ah the technical stream is back!
there they are
thanks for the answer
yay
And yes, I know 4k in particular has bandwidth issues but youtube adds in unneeded latency into the stream
i was reloading the page constantly haha
too bad the launch is at 1 am
They're done??
Red crew is leaving?!
I think they're going to leave the pad, check whether it is working, then maybe head back
but yes red team seems to getting into a safe zone for testing of the thingy
hopefully it worked
NASA on open mike?: Nuts (on the valve) were visibly loose (and presumably tightened now?)
Derrol reports that the Red Crew just gave a thumbs up. Have stepped back from the area of work.

So everythings fine?
