We're also bringing a huge robbery revamp, sheriffs will be quite busy
It ain't much, but it's honest work
These can be YOURS 100% FREE TODAY! Get your hot OCCULT DEMON HUNTING SHOTGUNS now while they last!
The Mule and Sawed Off shotguns have also received revamps and fresh animations:
Two cult classic shotguns, courtesy of the legendary John Moses Browning, to be added in the progression update!
A rare revolver loaded with 12 shots? Sign me up! Coming with the progression update.
Been a little bit, huh?
We've been cooking some great stuff for both the Progression and Building updates lately; the past couple months have seen a great amount of development and, for my part, I can't wait to show you some of the things we're working on! Here's another look at the new trains, which should be coming with the progression update.
Model 3 remodel coming next update ๐ป
Working on cop NPCs
They don't take too kindly to outlaws..
(Heavy WIP, ignore some of the jank and debug visuals. Nothing you see here is guaranteed to be the same during release)
All hail ๐
I wonder what this could possibly be for?

I'd like to clarify that the real estate office is for decoration only at this time
Some more Bronze City facelifts!
As always, things pictured are not the final product and are subject to change, work in progress is just that. ๐
<@&1255589399849209997> Some of you pointed out that The Wild West is missing some of the most iconic guns of the west, and so in retaliation to such claims, I present...
a New gun, the 1887! Each variant will be available in a separate skill milestone. Alongside new guns, we are experimenting with adding belts to the game. Know that this is not a guarantee that we will be able to add them, but here is a preview of what they might look like.
Your continued patience and support for the game is what keeps us working, thank you!

We're hoping to roll out different types of meaningful NPCs with the progression update to breathe new life into a previously barren world
Many civilian NPCs will be robbable , just in case you didn't have enough ways to be a menace on society. The efficiency and reward of this might depend on your crime skill!
With the progression update we're aiming to heavily rework the crime and justice system.
Put simply, we want to make it more rewarding and engaging to both outlaws and lawmen/bounty hunters.
we have a couple key objectives we'd like to share
- no more psychic awareness of where outlaws are hiding out, you must put in some effort to track down a target
- outlaws will have a harder time keeping their bounty and evading capture(this includes evasion by resetting/intentional death/combat logging, etc.)
- we will reward outlaws much more than before for successfully keeping a high bounty, now that it'll be more difficult
With these changes we're going to introduce a progression skill called Tracking.
Tracking will let you view the footprints or horseshoe prints a target has left behind. The efficiency of this will be based on your tracking skill.
At higher levels, you'll even be able to view how old a track is!
One of the few weapons added in the next small content update coming very soon

SN-TA-1 DOWN, PRESENTS MISSING
<@&1255589399849209997> We're working on adding an in-game guidebook to help new players get introduced to the game
<@&1255589399849209997> It's only natural for a sheriff to request aid in enforcing the law now and then.
(Handcuffs are now integrated as a passive rather than a tool, just to make arresting players a little more streamlined)
<@&1255589399849209997> Kind of early work still, but I've been reworking the barkeep role and general NPCs around towns. Here's some key things to be aware of:
- NPCs will tip if you keep the place clean and get to them in a timely manner.
- You can now stack dishes to make keeping the place clean a bit more streamlined
- The number of NPCs around towns have been increased with a greater drive to visit the doctor and saloon
- The amount you earn as a base was reduced from 25 to 15 to compensate for tips and the greater number of NPCs
<@&1255589399849209997> Very minor changes that should make NPCs feel a bit more dynamic, heard some complaints in these areas.
- There's a brief period of time between when an NPC equips their weapon and when they can fire. This time depends on how proficient they are with a gun. Ambushing NPCs should be a bit easier as a result.
- NPCs should no longer instantly reload their gun when they equip it
- If they already have a gun equipped, that time will not be applied.
<@&1255589399849209997> Work in progress updates for player trading to improve the overall experience. Here are some of the changes coming:
- Increased the amount of default item slots to twelve for all players.
- Membership unlocks four additional item slots, for a maximum of sixteen item slots.
- Various arbitrary and obscure trade restrictions are being removed.
To be clear, membership unlocks four additional item slots at no additional cost.
<@&1255589399849209997> Minor tweaks to the Auction house, now requiring players to confirm their bid amounts.
- Input is automatically formatted when typing in your bid amount, making it clear how much you're actually bidding.
<@&1255589399849209997> working on an improved menu for mobile compatibility and readability
<@&1255589399849209997> Be careful, next update may include elite gangs of outlaws wandering the roads!
<@&1255589399849209997> Sometimes you just can't afford to risk a fight. It's up to you to determine when it's worth it.
Also since I see it being asked a lot. You can get your coin purse back from them...as well as any of their other victims coin purses for you to return...or keep if you're less inclined. Functions fairly similarly to when a player robs another player.
<@&1255589399849209997> Hey! Listen!
WIP new horse calling menu
We hear you, there will be a way to add multiple favorite horses and it will sort your last favorited horse to the top of the list
<@&1255589399849209997> NPCs now work on a new combat system with two phases: Offensive and Defensive.
Defensive: Run to cover, reload if needed, return fire, etc
Offensive: Push the player
As fights go on NPCs will lose confidence in a variety of ways:
- NPCs receiving fire will lose confidence, hits do the most, but near misses still count, nobody likes being shot at.
- Losing allies, kind of obvious as to why this might reduce confidence.
- General balance of forces, the more outnumbered they are, the less likely they are to push out.
- Health, if they're more injured already.
- Ammo, not much point in rushing somebody when you're low or out of ammo. If entirely out of ammo, they will be forced into defensive phase.
- and lastly, there's a bit of a honeymoon phase to fights. When the fight begins everybody is at their most confident, as it goes on however, they likely won't be as offensive. More drawn out fights become really drawn out.
There's a few more changes but I'd be here for a while describing them all.
This is more a part 1 of what has been done too, so more changes are likely to happen in the future to make NPCs more engaging than they currently are. In any case this should definitely be more interesting to those of you who like fighting them or alternatively felt they were too boring.

yes it's called the Plover Bird
Croco boy has his own emoji
๐ฎ What might this be? @mention me in #tww-chat-old your guesses ๐
I like sneaking some peeks
some swamp vegetation โค
@mental prism made it of course
there will be more later
Locomotive is 50% done and now has cab woodworking + tender details, such as striping!
Took some cool beauty shots of nothing but the raider canyons landscape
with the experimental lighting releasing in octoberish ๐ฎ
One of our devs is working on a pretty cool, fancy biome blending pixel map for our game
so lighting settings respective to each biome will naturally blend/interpolate crossing from one biome to another
if you're in a canyon, it'll be orange, half way between a canyon and a forest, it'll be a mix of orange and green, as well as interpolated values for everything else
this obviously isn't something detrimental to the game, but it is necessary to help make our game world feel more alive and each part of the world to feel unique ๐
Couple images of the secondary train
Headed up by the (very fictional) locomotive "Bulldog".
Nothing final, and lots of content and environmental detail missing
I just had some fun with brushing down some swamp models and painting some grass to start to get a feel for how the swamp will look
The actual map won't have any flora or environmental detail like this for a week or two at least though, since team create is awful and our main environmental artist doesn't really like using it. (So things are iterated on over and over again)
Been playing with the new voxel lighting prototype in studio(coming live in a week or two I think). (Phase 1 of future is bright)
Long train ๐
The future is coming.
yeehaw
This thing has two layers of steel armor, vault doors, and carries nothing but gold and explosives. Excited yet?
As some of you know we've been remodeling the guns, this is the new peacekeeper with mechanics
(View mode will be toggle-able of course, I just prefer playing in first)

Outlaws beware! The jail doesn't come with plumbing ๐
New freight cars ๐
Many, many less parts than the current ones, and will hopefully create much less lag.
In this next upcoming update, one of the performance optimizations we made is quality levels for grass. Some PCs can't handle the polygons well, so now
grass has 3 quality levels it switches between based on your saved quality settings for roblox.
high: 30 tris(quality settings 9-10)
med: 20 tris(quality settings 7-8)
low: 14 tris(quality settings 6 and below)
This should significantly help render performance for players without decent GPUs ๐
Far away future footage of our game
The gripping first episode of "Guy on A Buffalo." The "guy" battles a bear and a mean-spirited Indian (Native American). Original music and narration by Jomo...
Fishing, new Rifles and more Map regions on the way!
Can you guess which gun this rifle is based on? @round lichen if you can figure it out
Our new health bar!
Viva la mexico
One of the new items included due to this updates delay, a new bow!
Low on the list of spooky features, but still coming this halloween!
Cleaner keybinds
Our composer produced some new music/ambient tracks. Here are some small demos
You may be able to guess what they're for ;)
We changed up third person aiming, and made first person a bit better
- No more arms/hands in your face clipping issues)
- Gun actually recoils upwards now instead of the awkward transition to the side it did
Discord server right now
rich people buy rich people things
Can't let Tyridge have all the fun
New explosion effect
Just heat up your fires, let that old smoke roll--
Burn up all your cargo if you run out of coal
O Listen said the fireman to Steamboat Bill,
We haven't coal enough afford the boilers to fill,
Billy quickly told him as he gave the wheel a turn,
Feed the boilers with the Crew until we get coal to burn!
Fixed a pretty big lag issue in the new update, and the culprit? COWS
Shouldn't have abused them for so long. They knew what they were doing..
you asked and we're delivering
I've said it before, but just for those who might've missed it: the new train I sent sneak peeks of is NOT part of of the upcoming update. Its larger overall size will require a full rework of the tracks in the game, which is not something we have time to do at the moment. You can expect to see it ingame within the next couple updates after this (hopefully).
tl;dr dont get hype for new train, it's not part of this update
what a cutie
Many of you have seen or heard rumors of the new Rifle coming this update so I present you with a detailed look at its model:
Part of this next update includes a completely reworked/overhauled night system from the ground up.
Night now features:
- Custom Stars
- Moon Rays
- A stylized blueish tint
- Per Biome Night adjustments
With this, we've carefully designed night in a way where any environment lit up by moonlight is visible, but shadows are quite dark. This means that stealth could be a viable option in the shadows, but it also means night is no longer painfully dark for everyone.
Here are some pics!
McCaw & Co. aren't very big into holidays. Perhaps that's why they take so long to build wagons...
The in-game crosshair now refers to the actual accuracy of the gun you have selected plus a new crosshair for shotguns.
Hey everyone, we've added an option to view the damage amount when you hit someone.
We want to know if this setting should be enabled by default or not.
React with
to have this enabled by default and
to have this disabled by default.
For those who enjoy playing the virtual piano instruments in TWW, like the piano and the banjo, we've got a special treat for you this update.
We're adding quite a few new instruments you can collect and play music with!
The pump action is in fact a Marlin and not a Winchester, and I think the Spencer speaks for itself
The Hitman Gamepass is going to be getting a special suppressed Hammerless Revolver
Already know all the keybinds for the game? You can now disable the keybinds UI from the in-game options menu. โจ
(not dual wielding sorry hype train speculators)
๐น New tribal items! (not auction house)
TWW's clouds are getting an update!
Another player made building preview!

We're working as hard as we can on the update! Thank you for your patience, we will release it as soon as it is ready.
Rumor has it a mysterious company has been importing some exotic goods from across the seas...
Due to popular demand, we've changed it to 6 slots โจ
Hey everyone, trading is more or less in its final stages of completion but I wanted to post this to get community feedback and to also explain about the fee paid during trading.
The fee paid is calculated based on the difference in value, as shown in the video. We do this to prevent abuse and for the difference in value to be paid.
If you are trading items of approximately equal value, it won't be nearly as harsh as if you are trading very valuable items for very low value items and vice versa.
Furthermore, all trades will be tracked and are stored under their trade ID (the text on the bottom of your trade screen).
If you believe a trade was illegitimate, this can be reported to a moderator as long as you provide them that trade ID.
We hope this explains a bit more about why the fee exists and the intentions behind it :)
A new bow and some improvements to the existing bows is being worked on!
โ๏ธ snowballs
Happy Holidays! Enjoy the festivities, you'll be getting gifts soon ๐
๐
Next update off-hand holsters will be facing the correct orientation
Grenades! (the white mule is just a prop ๐ for now...)
With progression we are also revamping the menu buttons into a dedicated panel. (there will be a hotkey to open this panel). This should reduce screen clutter significantly!
We're still hard at work on the next big update, here are some sneak peeks into one of the new weapons that will be unlocked by leveling up your character! The Lebel Rifle:
Here's another look at a new gun coming to The Wild West: an Army No. 2 Revolver, the perfect weapon for a skilled duelist!
New imports from abroad, two caplock pistols have made their way to the Western frontier. These pistols will be obtainable in the Progression Update!
The Mauser (along with some other gamepass items) are getting revamps!
and here's a screenshot of them in-game
In addition to items and features, a lot of the older buildings in-game have been given much needed improvements. Here's the Bronze City general store:
Callahan's Point general store:
Sneak Peak of the new "Open Floor Plan."
