Hello, I have the coupon for the BMD-4 and I have the BMP-3 (Of which I have played it to practice in case I used my coupon). However, during my time with the BMP-3 I just feel conventional tank rounds are better at that BR. More of the peek hill, fire and forget deal. Sometimes when I peek a hill I get killed while my atgm is halfway to the target. Anyone got some advice on how to improve my BMP skills? I'm fairly discouraged, and not sure if I should keep the coupon.

I love the BMP-3. First I'd say- set keybinds for the adjustable suspension (if you haven't already) and use it every time you pull up to a hill. The dozer blade combined with adjustable suspension actually lets you get a really good hull down position if your hill isn't too steep- one of relatively few tanks that actually sees a real benefit from the dozer.

Don't neglect regular HE rounds too, it's not just a meme thing but you can actually be effective with indirect fire from behind a hill (this really only works if you have the LRF unlocked, those shells are impossible to aim at range anyways). Have a keybind set for select secondary weapon and reset weapon selection, when you select secondary it'll let your LRF adjust the 100mm.

I dont have the BMD but from what I understand it plays like a faster BMP-3 with a reverse gearbox and 5sec autoloader for the atgm (although it carries fewer missiles I think). Might be worth messing around in test drive to see if it feels any better, you may prefer one over the other.

You still need to be fairly passive with the BMP (at least I do). Use your speed, find a nice shallow hill on a flank and launch atgms at people that wont see them coming. 30mm for self defense against enemy light tanks that picked the same flanking route as you. HE rounds for hitting enemies behind cover at long range without having to peek above your own cover.
