If you’re looking to grind out rank V I recommend the p51H it’s very good just all round. If your goal is top tier you will need the other 2 lines to get things later on to be able to unlock enough planes to progress

F4U-4B is good plane performance wise, guns are sorta underwhelming though, I just run Ground belts for the 20mms. It's a good grinder if you don't want to deal with jets in a prop.
