since the kv 1 has equal front and side armor this will maximise

Since the Kv 1 has as much armor at the sides as at the front, you wont get punished for overangling like you would in a Tiger. Always remember that your armor is useless against Tigers and panthers but you shouldn't meet those if you're playing the 3.7 varient.
So when you see an enemy
You should angle the Kv 1 pretty hard (if you want to know how much, go to the armor analysis)
Take a shoot
If you miss or dont kill in one shoot, stay on the move and dont let them take a good shoot since they have a better reload than you In most cases (try to get a slight angle on your turret to and not expose your weak side cheeks on it)
