@high apex Depends on what kind of lag you're referring to
If you are referring to input lag then disable the "Enhance Pointer Movement" from the control panel
IF network lag then change the DNS or get a better internet or use ethernet instead of wireless
If you are referring Lag as "Low Framerate" <which doesn't make sense> then make sure you are using the best possible settings from the emulator settings and then make sure your process in task manager is getting the highest priority
or get a better hardware

So the resolution you switched to isn't the same as the aspect ratio of the monitor so that might be why it was blurry
also TGB doesn't handle downscaling that well

It won't hurt to upgrade it if it is relatively old though, as the hard drive serves as a bottleneck for data being fed to the processor.

Again, unless it's a 10 year old hard drive, upgrading your current one wont really have an effect on performance.

For example a phones identity is simply its name such as Samsung Galaxy S7 etc
For an emulator it's identity is just a Virtual machine which is not considered as a phone
