Render cache, render global cache and rendering optimization, how they affect your frame rates and stuttering? Any advice because if any of them helps me in reducing my lag then I will untick them for sure

I know my rig can go up to 60fps in this game, I have played many heavy games then this, for eg, World Of Tanks, I have played it on medium settings and 95% of the times or more I got 60+fps and WoT is one of the few games that are CPU based!

And if it is true that the emu requires more power than the games then Tencent should launch it on Windows Store as a game by itself like if u want to play Pubg Mobile on pc then go to the windows store or steam and install it from there

#

Games like WOTB don't require an emu for u to play it on, simply get it from steam or Windows store and they work without any stuttering and also they gives a lot better frame rate compared it if u play it on any emu

I myself see a lot of problems in TGB, sometimes a lot of stuttering, sometimes an error, and a strange issue is with me, that is when I aim too much down or up and if I click there then the taskbar opens or date and time settings opens or start menu opens etc

Btw, for those who are having a problem in which when they throw a grenade or when the spectate someone and that guy throws the grenade and then the game freezes but u can still hear the things going in background like moving and walking, the problem only comes in AMD graphics and the solution to that is updating the driver

@hollow dome that's a funny way of putting it. The game was designed to run on an android device, and the emulator is designed to emulate an android device so the same game can run on a windows PC

whether or not Tencent have put in code to help it run better in the emulator that it would without we don't know, but I suspect that they have

so in effect, the game+emulator as a single system were designed to run on PC

#

One thing though that needs to be said - PCs vary considerably in performance. Tencent have never indicated what the minimum spec for TCGB is. People having performance problems fall into any of these categories - emulator is misconfigured, PC is misconfigured, PC hardware is underpowered, user has unrealistic expectations of performance. Quite often I see those who complain the most fit into at least two of these categories lol

so while the whole system (game+emulator) was designed to run on a PC, the performance that you get depends on many factors. This isn't all that different to running the game on Android, though I think people are more realistic about how well their android device will perform for gaming than people here complaining about TCGB performance.

first off, the game has a built in frame limiter that maxes out at 60fps - this would need to be disabled

#

second the game runs in a borderless window which has vsync

#

so we'd need to be able to disable vsync as well

unfortunately this isn't a clean trace because windows update is running in the background, hence you'll see disk and CPU are pegged

but you should notice that both GPUs are active

#

even though I have set the game to use only my Nvidiia GPU

#

this is because the game runs in a window, and the Intel iGPU is handling desktop compositing

#

now my CPU is maxed out and my iGPU is thirsty too

#

but they share the same overall TDP and the CPU cannot clock higher because the iGPU is very active

#

on a laptop without discrete GPU, the load of the game is shared between CPU and GPU within the same TDP

#

the more GPU load, the lower the CPU can clock up

#

the whole integrated system is hitting thermal limits - only Intel really know how a 75% CPU and 25% GPU load will get balanced

Going back to what I was saying. The thing to remember - the takeaway point if you like - is that the iGPU shares the same die as the CPU cores.

any time the iGPU is active, it impacts on the performance of the CPU in high-stress conditions

in other words, if the iGPU is highly loaded the CPU might not be able to reach full clocks, and vice versa

@peak swift why not just reflash a stock image? depending on your device you might be able to do it from fastboot mode, or from TWRP with a zip file. Should be able to use a power button + vol up or down to get into one or other of those modes maybe

@topaz temple it's a known issue I'm afraid. Tencent recommend temporarily disabling your antivirus but as far as I know, if it fails to install or fails to boot the emulator after installation it will basically never work

@cloud nacelle This is an emulator so it will be mostly dependent on your cpu and programming it to use the gpu more often is the biggest challenge for all emulator devs not just for android emulation, so your question is like asking car companies to make flying cars for public as it would be easier for people to use

there are two bits of software that can identify throttling issues - Throttlestop and Intel XTU. I'm playing with XTU now - its more of an overclocking utlity but it will tell you if your CPU is throttled.

but other post FX like bloom, colour grading, light adaptation etc. will still be needed even if you have perfect lighting as they're part of the stylised look of the game

lets say we have perfect lighting in a game - ray traced reflections and shadows, the full works. Assume the engine outputs a HDR image - still need tonemapping to map it to a non-HDR monitor.

I have to tonemap HDR images taken with my camera to make them look right on a regular screen - real world has too much dynamic range for the camera, and way too much for a monitor

besides we don't just try to make games look real, sometimes we want them to look stylish as well

@willow pelican Are you getting that 100%cpu usage bug If yes then leave the emulator open for a few minutes as there will be an emulator update in the background <No need to open the game during this time just the emulator>
I recommend waiting for the update which is most likely tomorrow as they must be tweaking the servers for the 0.9.5 update

@summer ore no, it is seriously bad to have 100% disk usage, it will make your pc work slow! To check which application is doing this, head to task manager, click on performance tab and click resource monitor which u can see at bottom of the task manager, then click on disk usage list and check which application is doing this, simply Google the application which is doing this and get to know that whether it is good or bad to turn it off, or DM me for further details!

To get the best results select the dpi according to resolution
