your points won't be reset unless you are using unautharized software, however playing with an emulator frequenlty that uses hacks can get you into some trouble as well, @tranquil viper. and tier depends on the server you play on while the points you get depends on your tier, kills, and the mode you are in ( solo duo or classic ).
