Why am I experiencing lag?
When the battery is low, the frame rate will slow down, causing lag. Recharging your phone to try again.
The device's Temperature Control will be triggered when the phone is hot, which slows down the frame and make the game lag. Recharge you phone while lowering phone temperature and play later.
When there are too many processes running on the device, it will lag. Close all processes and restart the phone.
If you set a higher graphic settings beyond the hardware capability of your device, it will cause your game to lag. In this case please lower your graphic settings.
Pay attention to the signal in bottom left while you are in a match or during server selection. A yellow or red signal means your ping is high. In this case, you can switch your connection to Wi-Fi or 4G, or reduce graphic settings by selecting classic style.
What should I do if I am experiencing lag?
If you encounter lag, please try the following:
- Check out if you have selected the optimal server:
Tap the Select Mode button below the Start button in Lobby screen, then tap the server button in the top right corner. Select the server with the lowest ping. - Check if your graphics settings are compatible with your device.
Tap the setting button in the bottom right corner in Lobby, go to the Graphics menu and change graphics settings. - Change your connection method (4G vs. Wi-Fi) or move to a place with better signal.
- Exit the game and clear some space on your device, then log into the game again.
Before logging out, please note that if you are playing as a guest, logging out may erase your progress. - Tap the Repair button on the right side of Login screen to repair PUBG MOBILE.
- Download and install the game again.

@storm willow I live in Ethiopia, closest server for me are Europe and Middle East. I get a good ping if I'm being honest. 75-100 almost every time. But this week a problem occured. Even though I get good ping, there is a delay... meaning I do no damage for enemy at close combat, buttons don't respond quick and I can't crouch or prone (gets back up automatically). I open doors and pick up things easily.
Today I tried something else, I logged in with the same wifi, same phone but different account. And it was running perfect...

I have told you multiple times play on Middle East (the closest server) . I don’t think its an issue, it’s common to have higher ping on distant server.
