It's not like that. See there is an Achievement to get 3 chicken dinners in a row but you only get 2 and die 3rd time. Still in the Achievement it will show as 2.Its same here.

The above two count legendary item. It cleary reset the moment you got a Legendary item on the 25th crate.

Rating points are drastically reduced compared to Season 7 although every match I have 4-5 kills. Now the points I get around or less than 10 even though I can secure in top 10 positions. Last season you would get after passing Ace tier. But now on Diamond I tier very low points are given.

Last match in Diamond tier I secured 3rd position, I got +13 total ratings (+13 for survival +4 for kills), in earlier match on same tier I secured 2nd position, still I got +6 total ratings only (+9 for survival and -4 for kills). Although survival time for both matches nearly same. 27.2 m for first match I am talking about and 28.1 m for second match, and 3 kills in both matches.

This is what information we have :
Kill ratings matter more than survival ratings.
You get less points per match as you go up the tiers.
You are likely to recieve less points if you get in top 10 with less than 5 kills, than if you die with 10+ kills in top 15.
@surreal turtle Reporting speeds up the process of investigation. It takes time for the system to individually check on all the reports.
@night cloak These rating changes where made to filter out the pro players from the average players.
It will definately get tougher for players who get 1-3 kills per match and snake/camp their way to top ten to move up the tiers.
