You can do various things to reduce lag, probably these:
- Clear your RAM. Make sure you atleast have 1 to 3 GB Ram left.
- Delete unused apps to reduce CPU usage
- Clear your storage, make sure your phone has less videos. The lesser storage used, the better the game will run.
- Reduce your Graphics. You can ask a player with the similar or same phone about their graphics.

NA and ME servers have less player base as compared to the amount of players in Eu and Asia servers. Thats why those servers have a longer duration of match making time. It also depends on the maps and different times of days and avaliability of players in your tier. Since you say that you are in the Gold tier, i suppose not many people are there in the gold tier.. if you get into higher tiers i think you might encounter more players and the matchmaking times will reduce

Any 3rd party app that modifies the game files is against game ToS, it doesn't matter if the software gives them cheat stuff or make the game run like butter. And since GFX tool only removes the cap limits, it's easy for the anti cheat engine to detect it comparing to some new advanced cheating methods you find are being livestreamed.
