@night cloak no it doesn't. What you've posted refers to the standard tier protection that kicks in all the time. What I am questioning is the extended tier protection which has been introduced recently and is active only from Friday to Sunday, for the past 2 weekends and also this weekend.

Example: Your rating is at 2006. If you die really early, normally you would lose 30+ points and drop down to the previous rank. However, tier protection will prevent that from happening. Instead of deducting 30+ points, it will only deduct 6, hence being able to remain in your rank.

What I've posted applies to the extended tier protection, @naive island.

Don't expect to have tier protection that lasts forever.

It would break the game.

OK guys @lean crescent @night cloak all last weekend and the weekend before extended tier protection was live. It works all weekend. What you have posted @night cloak does not apply to the extended tier protection and it's clear you don't have information about this new event. @night cloak yup the friend options is about rating protection and you don't lose points. Example. Last weekend I hot dropped with friends for 5 matches failed miserably and didn't lose any points. However for the rest of the matches I didnt lose tier either. I was stuck at 4100 points.

1: The one suggested by staff here, official suggestion: Try downloading the apk from the official website. As I am not from staff I am not able to send links here, just google up PUBG Mobile, go on their official website, then downloads, and xAPK (instead of Google Play). Be aware that during installing it will take up to 7Gb temporarly.
2: My personal suggestion, that worked for me: Actually be patient. Clear the cache again, restart your device agan, and if it still doesn't work, then it's a bug on Google Play's side. Kindly wait for a few hours before trying again and hopefully it will. For your information I had to wait for 4 hours, so it'ss up to you.

@gleaming abyss There's actually nothing like anti ban system update in pubg mobile. Once a player gets certain amount of reports > trust and safety team investigates > finds the exploits > bans the player > sends a list to loophole fix department and it gets filtered in anti cheat engine.

This process sometime take months, depending on the exploits.
