@neat oceanAndroid 9 users can directly update the game because their OBB limitation are a bit higher. It could be also that they have something in extra, but probably just because of that. They're just updating the necessary parts of the OBB.

Android <8 users can't update the game because the version is "outdated" in a sense that their device doesn't support updating probably for the OBB limitations.

This has nothing to do with the quality of your device.

Android 9: Directly update the client which is ~475 MB.
Android <8: Although it shows that the update size is ~475MB, it will re-download whole game, which is (?- mb/gb)

There was an abnormal detection ban wave last month. People getting banned without any clue, asked here, we found out they were using some sorta ad blocker apps which were interfering with game, They were using the app since the beginning but got banned for it after a year. Anti cheat engine is improving every once in a while, you never know when they'll get you.

@night cloak It might be a visual bug with ADS being switched off, try changing the location of chat icon and see if that helps. If it doesn't, "repair client" if your friend.
