@red void you can't shoot the flare gun while you're running, you have to stand still and aim up and then shoot it. If you shoot it while you're running it'll shoot into the ground every time

It’s not recommended because it’ll increase your ping.
You can move freely without being banned.
VPN does nothing to help you unless you’re in a rare instance that the ISP routing to the server is so bad you can instead connect to your vpn and have that go to the server faster. Very rare to have that issue.

That said, there doesn't need to be anything wrong with your connection for you to experience random network lag. the nature of the internet is a network of networks. the game packets have to pass through several other networks after leaving your network before they reach the server's network. if any of those networks is experiencing problems, you experience network lag, even though your own network is fine.

@somber solstice just happened again. completely unplayable lag randomly through the game. went to 300ms but it was WORSE than 300ms, because at least i can play on 300ms usually on NA, this was on asia, which is 150-200ms more than usual. I got in a car and it gave me no options to drive (i was gunna drive to zone and restart). every time when i try to restart game and this problem occurs i have problems even reconnecting to the game. makes half my games unplayable for no apparent reason.
